Pros: Good Price
Cons: No Support
Buy this set and you're stuck with it's problems. I've always thought Plasma is better because you can see the images from any angle. However, stay away from the Samsung line because, after less than 30 days, you will get an image burn regardeless if you play games or if you watch regular TV. I speak from experience. I bought Samsung PN50B450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV because it had the best picture in the Best Buy store for the price. Well, after 20 days, the screen had started to get the burn-in. I called Best Buy, they came out and said they couldn't do anything because Samsung won't authorize a replacement. I called Samsung. Their tech came out and said the same thing. It's written in the warranty that screen Burn-In is not covered. I understand that, but after 20 days? How about repairing the TV? The Samsung tech said I'm stuck with the TV and this problem. Buy it and don't say you weren't warned.

Pros: Great color, no blur, good contrast, screen saver, only 60lbs, cosmetically appealing
Cons: For the $ none, but it's not 1080p which some people use as a reason to not purchase
I got a great deal on this set at Brandsmart.  I was originally determined to get a 52" 1080p LCD set.  While I was in the store during multiple visits, I just couldn't find an LCD picture I actually enjoyed.  I especially hated the 120hz+ motion effect that made all those sets display everything as source shot by video cameras instead of film.  That unnatural motion really turned me off and the artifacts generated with quick motion on the sets I consider were very distracting.  While searching I kept coming back to this Samsung set over and over.  It was even on display in multiple locations in the store and I would see the others and comment about how much I like those too, thinking they were different sets.  Once I made up my mind and got the set home, I was very satisfied.  I sit about 13-14' away from the set.  The TV speakers sound tinny but loud.  I have a dedicated surround set up so that isn't an issue for me.  The menu system is nice, and with the right remote there are discrete codes/commands available for this set.  I've watched a lot of Blue Ray content at 720p, HD content from Comcast, and DVD's and have been completely satisfied with all of the sources.  I connect my MacBook all the time, via HDMI and 720p and all of my content looks good from there as well.  For the average selling price of this set I can think of no other product that can compete.  Samsung has a great reputation for their flat screens, isn't considered low-end, and I consistently get great compliments on its look.  The front of the tv has no distracting lights, just a solid black border all the way around and looks clean.  There is a so called touch of color red strip, but it is barely noticeable and looks cool when you do see it.   If you look at LCDs and feel like they don't look quite right, this is a set to consider.  There are higher models that offer 1080p from Samsung as well that should have even better performance for those able to discern the difference.  Again, for the money I highly recommend this set.
