Pros: Value per inches, Color, Energy efficiency, No burn in, 3DTV ready
Cons: Bezel, Convergence,
When I was in the market for a new display to replace my aging non high def rear projection beast, I had a list of requirements that had to be met for me to be comfortable with my purchase. At the time I bough my Samsung 67 LED DLP, the technology had been on the market two years and had proven it's self. LED LCD technology was still in it's easy infancy and prices were (and still are) sky high. Plasma was never a consideration because the display would be used as much as a PC monitor as it would be used for anything else.

Sure thin sets are cool, wow you can hang them on the wall!  How many actually DO? DLP sets have anywhere from 14-17 inches of depth and that was much less depth than the previous 3CRT RPTV that it replaced. I was able to gain 7 more inches in screen size and take up much less floor space.

Color and black levels are fantastic as is the speed of motion and the feature set of the display.

I do have two gripes and they are both intertwined. The bezel is not strong enough which can result in convergence issues and I don't know anyone who hasn't had this issue with the Samsung DLP's (The Mitsu's do not have these issues) but Mitsu did not make an LED DLP and I was not interested in Bulb/Color Wheel DLP's.  I decided I can live with less than perfect convergence for a set that meets the rest of my expectations and surpasses them.

Pros: Nice black levels, impressive size makes your neighbors jealous or at least having the want to change the channels, good menus, plenty of inputs,
Cons: Could be bigger :), would like to see automatic switching based upon inputs, all other tv's look small
If you are in the market for a big screen and don't want a front projection and screen...if you can still find this on the market...don't hesitate to buy it...even if you think you don't have the room....you probably do.  My biggest problem with this DLP, it makes every other one of my friends's TVs small...you find yourself saying things like  - "How can you even see the score on that thing."  Being in front of this set with a great surround system and you'll be reaching out for fly balls as well.

This is my daily drive for a set and it replaced a behemoth of which was a rear projection 64 inch phillips....even though this is 3 inches larger, the foot print is way way smaller.  It has performed flawlessly for its duration in my family room so far.
