The Oppo bdp-83 is no loner being made according to Oppo they can no longer obtain parts needed to manufacter this unit. It has been replaced with two very sophisicated players, bdp-93 and the bdp-95. Both players have universal capabilitys and have streaming video/audio services. Round it outr with 7.1 analog ports and you end up with just about the absolute best bang for the buck player on the market today. Sure there are other comp players out, but none come close to offering what Oppo does.
