Pros: Two great performances by Siddig and Abbass help flesh out the cast
Cons: Pretty much everything else. The story leaps around, the Fish Eye Point of View is obnoxious, and the story lacks cohesion

Miral came onto the market with serious opposition. Many groups opposed the film, saying it's controversial Pro-Palestine ways hurt the film and made it offensive. Others bashed the film for it's portrayal of how easy it was to become a freedom fighter. The reality is the film suffers from thinking too much of itself and rather then pro-Palestinian, it's mostly pro-pain killers. There are some good performances here, and an interesting potential story, but it is not told well enough to make this a buy. You might want to rent, just to catch the performances but rent before a purchase. For a full review, check out the official thread here.
