Pros: Melodic score, some very funny moments
The first time I saw Lars and the Real Girl was when it was on Netflix Instant Play...so the audio and video quality wasn't exactly stellar as my internet speed at the time wasn't exactly stellar.
But it was the film that did it for me. I really enjoyed the film. I hate to use the word "sweet," but it was a very sweet story. Funny and a little sad. While you might be a little worried when you hear it's about a man who falls in love with a...."love doll," it's a lot more than that. The relationships between the characters are full of understanding, kindness, compassion, and ultimately acceptance.
The special features on the DVD aren't extensive but interesting. All in all, I'd at least recommend renting it!
