this is a down firing sub woofer. If you use put a square piece of marble flooring under neath it this will keep a carpet floor from absorbing it

Pros: great thundering sound during movies. I can ratlle the glasses in the kitchen cabinet

When watching regular hd channels it performs very well. But when you watch a bluray movie this monster comes to life!!!!!!. This sub makes a excellent choice for the home theater!!!!!!!!
