Based on books by both Valerie Plame and her husband, Joe Wilson, Fair Game was directed by Doug Liman, who created the Bourne franchise. The film recounts how Plame, a former covert CIA operative, was “outed” by columnist Robert Novak, and it's tautly balanced between spy film, political thriller and marital drama.
