Pros: Superb audio and video presentation, some good action
Cons: Absent of characters that we care about, doesn't reach its potential

Battle: Los Angeles follows a group of Marines deployed on the war torn streets of Los Angeles to rescue a small number of civilians. The world has been invaded by a vastly superior alien force, cities are scenes of terrific destruction, and humanity is digging in to save itself. Taking obvious cues from 1986's Aliens and the more recent District 9, Battle: Los Angeles tries very hard to matter; to unleash the best fighting force on the planet (The U.S. Marines - who I'll say now tie with the British Army since I was born in the UK) upon the invading enemy with the tactics of a guerilla fighting force. It works in some ways and rings false in others.
