Pros: Excellent for music as well as movies, as many HT systems are not.
Cons: Not complete without a sub
Cons: Not complete without a sub
This was a great entry level integrated HT sound system when I bought it lo these many years ago, and it is still serving me well. (1 house and 2 condos later.) I've certainly gotten my money's worth (about $1,000) out of the set. Unlike many HT systems the ATs are exceptionally good for music playback, which is important to me. (Supported by the powered subwoofer the bookshelf front right an d left speakers produce a stereo soundstage better than the pair of floor-standing Infinity speakers they replaced.) One of these days, when I have the money, I'm sure I'll upgrade to 7.1 and a new set of speakers (probably also from AT.) But these speakers have lasted me through three residences and five receivers and they're still going strong.
