I have a feeling that Carl covering for Ron is going to pan out about as well as Glenn covering for Nicholas.

Yeah, I think you are right. I have to wonder if Abraham is going to introduce the contingent of Saviors on the road to the business end of an RPG.

It's kind of funny they pretty much left Deanna to die (before the house was breached) and it was a saw blade and not a bite! They made so little of that that maybe they are having her survive, but maybe it was just a little quirk for the sake of the audience.

Walker Stalker Con 2015 New York - New Jersey was this weekend, so lots of photos of current and former castmembers have been making the rounds.

Here's a fun one of (from l-r):
Chandler Riggs (Carl), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Kyla Kenedy (Mika) and Madison Lintz (Sophia)

Yeah, that was a good one. The best bit was probably at the beginning when Daryl took care of business. I loved seeing everyone- whether they were strong or weak or tested or green- come together and fight the walkers. I also enjoyed Father Gabriel saying that god had given them courage to act. Sad to see
Jesse go but it'd be too messed up if her dumb, whiny kid and her awful, shitty kid had both died and she survived,

I can't believe they had the stones to follow the comic book and shoot Carl in the face.

Happy Valentine's Day, Rick! Your girlfriend's zombie chow, and her son just shot your son in the eye! The prospects of a "Brady Bunch" style blended family are fading fast.

Yet again, Glenn seems to be facing certain death. And yet again, something improbable opens up an avenue for his escape. At least we didn't have to wait weeks this time for the resolution.

I'm a huge fan of Seth Gilliam's bad ass veterinarian on "Teen Wolf", so it's been frustrating seeing him as such a weak, self-loating, sabotaging mess. Tonight the other side of what he brings to the table finally got to come out and play.

I was happy to see Katelyn Nacon bumped up from the bit player end credits guest cast to the opening credits guest cast. Every episode Enid appears in, she just absolutely kills it. Easily the best child actor or actress the show has had. I hope she gets a long run.

Most of all, I was really happy to finally get an epic, triumphant victory on a show that mostly delights in kicking its characters in the balls.

Even though it seemed obvious that an RPG would solve the biker problem, (see post #161) it was still a pretty great sequence. A lot to like in the episode, although I thought survivability in the middle of the herd seemed like a no win proposition. Another wildly improbable escape for Glen; which makes me wonder how many of his nine lives are left. I'll miss Alexandra Breckenridge, but the kids - not so much.

Good episode. Lots of tense moments. Thought Carl was a goner there for a while (not being familiar with that plotline from the comics). And yeah, I will miss Jessie.

It's funny to see how much older Madison Lintz (Sophia) got. I remember the little girl.

Pretty intense episode.

Jessie and her sons getting taken down all at once was rough, but the little one just wasn't a survivor and the older one was an angry ass.

Messed up about Carl! For a second there I thought he was done. Actually there were quite a few super close calls in this one with multiple characters that I thought any of them at any moment could have been taken out.

There's an interesting pattern I'm seeing where people doing the "right" thing often leads to the deaths of others.

- Angry, insecure Nicholas plots to kill Glenn. Glenn decides to spare him and tries to make him useful. Nicholas ultimately gets Noah killed and almost gets Glenn killed.

- Angry, jealous, vengeful "what's his face" plots to kill Carl. Carl also decides to let it slide and tries to bond with the kid and help him to become a useful member of the group. D-bag ultimately shoots Carl in the eye.

- Morgan and the wolves.

- Jessie letting her son go with them instead of going to the Church with Gabriel. That decision killed her and all that was left of her family.

Seems as if you want to survive, truly survive long term, you need to be brutal in who you don't tolerate and cut loose. Carol has been on that page for a while. Her putting down the little girl was a great example. That little girl was way too much of a liability and she would get more people killed, so "Look at the flowers".

These other groups we've been dealing with seem to be there as well. It's understandable that we want our protagonists to hold onto some degree of humanity (the characters themselves want to as well). Alexandria was filled with people who were alive due to chance and luck, but most of them were not "survivors" as the rest of the people in the world at this point needed to be. But now they've been through the crucible and will certainly be a tougher group. They're going to need to be if this Neegan and his group is as bad as I think.

Excellent ep, I kept thinking that a major character was going to get dead. With every scene I was yelling "no, not (insert major character's name)!" They haven't killed a major in a while. I also thought Coarl was going to be a goner too. Guess he's going to get a governor style eye patch.

I expected Ron and Sam to go, was sorry they took Jessie down too. LOVED the Carl eye! Sad Abraham didn't get to use the boomstick but having Darryl use it unexpectedly was fupping AWESOME!
