My mistake. I pressed the "disc menu" button instead of the "title menu/pop-up" button. It works like it should.

Watching some more of the movie, it looks even more impressive than it did earlier, compared to the BD. I moved my recliner up to where I'm only about 5' away from my 65" TV, where the difference is even more apparent. It looks lovely. :)

Cool, that's great to hear that's retained.

EDIT: mistakenly missed additional posts

My Samsung 4K Blu-ray player arrived yesterday from BestBuy.com. Got The Martian and Exodus: God and Kings 4K today at Best Buy store. Won't have a proper TV to play it on until next weekend.

Best Buy refused to sell to me as well until tomorrow. This is why I don't shop there unless I have to. I will go back tomorrow and pick up a couple to spend my Best Buy bucks and wait for Amazon to send the rest.

Keep in mind that Amazon still has a March 1st release date on all their 4K titles, whereas Best Buy has several that are listed as February 14th, even though some, like me, have them already; some are listed as February 28th, and still others for March 1st.

I have Martian waiting for me at home. Picked up Kingsman, Exodus, Hitman and Scorch Trials with leftover Best Buy gift cards. I hate paying full retail but needed to get some content to try.

Also got my taxes figured today, looks like the 2016 Sony/Samsung FALD 75" is in reach if they don't launch at true ridiculous prices.

Sub Wild for The Martian and I have the same movies. I ordered The Martian on Fox Connect but that's the one I want to watch first (haven't seen it yet).

I'm very tempted to get an HDR set, the Sony 65X930C (down to $2500 at BB), but I need to wait another year since I just bought my Sony 65X900A almost two years ago and I paid too much to justify moving it down my TV chain so soon. Anyway I'm happy with the way these first few discs look. Even if my TV can't get HDR, the PQ still looks quite a bit better with deeper blacks and a brighter picture at the same time. Could be the HDR-->SDR conversion effect and/or higher bit rate, but whatever it is, it's working. But still anxious for true HDR. Wonder how long I can hold out, lol.

I'm in the same boat, I need HDR and a ten inch wider set to justify moving from my plasma

What's also holding me back is OLED. The 65" LG at Best Buy looked amazing, but it's $5000. I would hate to let impatience get me to buy another LCD when a year or so later I could have gotten the same size in OLED for about the same price (or close to it, maybe $3000). Then again, most of my TV viewing is done in the living room where there is usually light, so perhaps it won't make that much difference.

I have my player connected. Too bad all I want is the titles not due for release until March 1. I have gotten six different e-mails from BB telling me the dates for Chappie and Sicario, switching back and forth from available March 1 to Feb 29. I have Ender's Game on order from Amazon.
Strange how all the titles releasing "early", (available now), are not true 4k's, right? (I checked the tech specs on IMDB to help me decide what titles to start with. They also had to be titles I do not already own on BD.)
Does anyone know any sources I could load some demo material on USB? All I have to view right now is Amazon Prime.

Sucks that I can't watch Maze Runner 2. I was told I have to watch Maze 1 first. So that's one less movie to bide my time the next two weeks. Also Wild doesn't look nothing special like Kingsmen or Hitman.

Will be calling Best Buy during my break tomorrow to see if they have the player in stock! If so I will be going to pick it up and also purchase at least 1 movie maybe two depending on if they have any UHD movies in stock. I have the next three days off after that so it would be nice to have the new UHD 4K blu-ray player so I can enjoy it and check it out on my days off! Will post pictures if I am able to buy the player tomorrow!

Update:
Tried to verify the players availability tomorrow at a particular store after being told a few days ago that it would be available. This time with a different person he would only say it was not available. Would be nice to get some reliable information if the player is actually available or not. And I was told that I would have to buy one for them to hold it for me. Well I can not even purchase one online so even if I purchased it online that doesn't tell me if I can pick it up or when it will be available, it doesn't let me purchase it even though it is on there website. I would not have an issue if someone on the best buy chat did not tell me that the player would be arriving 2/16. If they have it fine I will purchase it but I will not spend the money so I can wait till who knows when for the player to finally come in in a week, two weeks or in two months. Will have to see what happens tomorrow as I still plan to call the store directly during by break and I might look up the player online around 10 am. Keeping my fingers crossed!
