My wife and I watched the first episode last night. We both liked the vibe of the show, very sassy. I think it helps to forget the lead is supposed to be the devil, as he has redeeming qualities. The two leads are very good.

Yeah, I've watched the first two episodes. I don't know if I'll remain interested or not, depending on the next few episodes.

I saw the preview setup and thought "this could be different".... and suddenly it's a police procedural. Not interested.

This would be way more interesting if it was about buying & selling souls from the devil's perspective.. but a murder of the week with the Devil interested in solving it seems like a show that would be on TV in Futurama.

If you don't like most police procedurals, you definitely won't like Lucifer. I think it' strength is the two leads and it's frank dialogue.

Oh, I enjoy police procedurals. I enjoy Castle and Bones, Law & Order (the original), etc.. but it just seems to me a waste to have a main character be Lucifer in a show that is as normal as a procedural.

I've enjoyed the first two episodes. It's funny watching Lucifer get frustrated with people when he's being completely honest right to their face that he's the Devil and he has powers, and they keep looking for other explanations for his actions and knowledge. Tom Ellis is very fun to watch.

I hope they're not taking this in a direction that the longer he remains away from Hell, the more human he becomes, losing his powers and such. The fun at the moment is watching the Devil interact with the mortals. It won't be that interesting if he eventually becomes one.

I'm already sick of his "brother," who keeps showing up to nag him to return to Hell.

I watched the first few episodes. It is reasonably entertaining I suppose but I think Lucifer has become too nice too fast. I think he really needs a truly evil side to make the show interesting and I don't think we are ever going to see that.

If I recall correctly, he started out nice. I like the show not because it's an accurate portrayal of the myth of Lucifer, but because I like the performers and the writing is good too.

He is nice. He has no interest in being evil himself, but he loves to punish those who are. That's why he's usually pursuing the real culprits after the police have already pinned the case on some other convenient patsy.

As you watched the show, Lucifer has been in LA for a while so they could go back in show flashbacks when he wasn't so nice and was truly evil.

I like the flashbacks idea it would probably make the show more interesting! I do like the show so far, but I don't have the "I can't wait for the next episode" feeling about it. We'll see...

My wife likes this show, so she will be pleased that it is being renewed. I didn't particularly care for it. I do like the Lucifer's fairly hot sidekick, but I get annoyed with Lucifer almost never blinking his eyes. I guess they thought that since some of the actors who have played Christ have used that technique; it would be clever for Lucifer to do so too. My eyes start feeling dry just watching him.

Just watched the finale yesterday. It was a nice wrap-up of a lot of threads and I am looking forward to the next season. All in all it worked quite well for me.

I'm of the opinion that I liked it, but a think it has to get better for me to stick with it.

What a poster said earlier. Lucifer is not evil...He can be an ass, smug and naughty. But, he said it was a mis-characterization that he was evil. God gave him a job...to punish those who are evil in hell.

Plus, I love the constant Det.Douche. :)

Two “bonus episodes” will air next Monday night.

These will be set prior to the season finale.

Actually, the bonus episodes were intended to be "stand-alone" (non-arc) episodes for a fourth season, so they are actually set after the series finale, but as 'stand-alones', they are not part of the story arc and will not pick up directly after the finale (though they might make some fleeting references).

Here are the basic plot lines for those who would like to know:

The first bonus episode, "Boo Normal," finds Lucifer and police investigating the murder of a child psychiatrist.

The second, "Once Upon a Time," takes place in an alternate dimension where Lucifer and Detective Chloe Decker never met. The latter episode features Lucifer co-creator Neil Gaiman as the voice of God.
