Excellent, excellent season! One of the best in a long time.

Spencer's bully play kept him in for that tribal but lost him all the votes. Jeremy's family speech won him the game,

I think both of those points are spot on.

And am very excited to see my man Caleb (a contestant on Big Brother two seasons ago) will appear in the next season of Survivor! He'll be a perfect pick. Hope he does well.

I really thought Spencer would get a couple of votes. And I also think that had Wentworth made the final tribal she would have had a shot at winning. She could have countered Jeremy's family sob story (sincere though he made have been) with a game resume as good or arguably better than his - and with a jury of former players who respect smart game play, that might have been enough. Certainly Ciera, Abi, Kimmi and Keith would have voted for her.

Although I did, very much, like this season, and I agree it was one of the recent best, I did not like hearing Probst talk about how good the season was so frequently.

I don't think it sounds good when you praise your own efforts, and, I do remember him claiming that Russel was good TV, too.

I'm happy with the results. I felt from the beginning Jeremy should win it.

One of the best seasons in a long time.

In a way, I wish they would keep playing with favorites rather than newbies.

Another Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty season coming up. Ugh!

Even the season's players were very self-aware of how good this season was. They kept mentioning as much during the final tribal council.

It was a good season. Everyone played hard to the point where one person passed out (Joe) trying to win a challenge and another was floundering/drowning in the water (Tasha). There were shifting alliances, great blindsides, (loved when Kelly played the idol and Savage got voted out) and an absolute first when they have to have a discussion to see who gets voted out at tribal since they had two ties and only Keith was eligible to be voted out. Surprised, they had actually figured out rules for such a possibility. Can't say I am a fan of the Beauty, Brawns, Brains thing.

Was rooting for Spencer but totally fine with Jeremy. As others said, it was a great season. And for once, nearly all the players at the end were likable and deserving in their own way. I enjoyed Tasha, Keith and Wentworth too.

Has anyone else noticed how quickly the producers now wrap up the final episode vs. previous years? Now there are 6 players in the final episode vs. 4 player in most other seasons. There is no "walk of fame" (which I always enjoyed) and no "burning" of the hut. The final breakfast & celebration of the final 3 lasts about 1 minute. And the jury questions have been trimmed down to almost nothing, which I think is a positive. The pertinent jury questions have all been asked a hundred times each through the years. It's really not a bad idea to wrap it up when it gets down to the final few players. The interesting stuff has already happened and the audience is ready to see the winner.

A very enjoyable, great and memorable season.

Although Spencer got a hero edit and seemed like a frontrunner, the truth is that Spencer was a goat. He would have lost to anyone in the final five head to head. For all of his talk about changing and growing and connecting, he didn't really do any of those things. While I knew Tasha wasn't getting any votes, I was also fooled into thinking Spencer was going to challenge Jeremy to a close vote. I knew Jeremy swept the vote when they didn't show a single vote during tribal council. He even got Kimmie's vote.

Great season overall. And while they telegraphed the double HII play, the real shocker was the way it all played out with Keith being the only person eligible to draw rocks. That was a rollicking tribal council.

Jeremy's final speech to the jury was maybe the best use of that I've ever seen on Survivor, and the moment he started talking, and revealed that, I thought: he just won the million.

This show and "The Amazing Race" are starting back up again in the next week or two.

Time to warm up the DVR and get things scheduled. :D

Thanks for the reminder. Was just thinking about whether I missed the start of Survivor. Do you have the date of the premier so I can put it on my calendar?

"The Amazing Race" is my favorite of the reality shows. Very well done.

"Survivor", not so much. But it's like watching a train wreck, can't turn away.

Also enjoy "Hell's Kitchen". But wow, they seem to go out of their way to find the most disgusting, rude, foul-mouthed contestants. The language is awful, never heard so many bleeped out words on a show, even from Ramsay himself.
