The Film detective released a new, supposedly restored version of The Bat on blu ray a few months back. Its currently available on amazon for $11.00 so I doubt Shout would ever touch this title.

True, but as filler for a future collection.....perhaps.

The Film Detective transfer ain't that great, Randy. It's wiped of all grain and looks smeary, like an old t.v. Kinescope. I suppose it's a modest improvement over prior DVD's, but it hasn't the PQ I was hoping for.

WOW HD inform me my set is on its way to me in the UK. Not used them before so I don't know long I will be waiting.
Just over £33 delivered which was better than any Amazon.

I would have bought MASTER OF THE WORLD (1961) as a stand alone! And needless-to-say I am absolutely delighted that it is being made available on blu-ray. Not to mention special bonus material that has been dormant for (at least) a decade. It was always my first choice here.

For someone who likes-prefers the older Vincent Price films TOWER OF LONDON (1962) is just not one of my favourites. I find it very corny and overwrought (sorry to say) and it just pales in comparison to the outstandingly Universal Pictures Basil Rathbone epic of 1939. Basil Rathbone is Richard III.

DIARY OF A MADMAN (1963) is another splendid selection and one of its (unappreciated) virtues is the contribution of the late Joseph Ruskin (April 14th, 1924 - December 28th, 2013) who provides the eloquently sinister vocal intonations of the malevolent Horla.

It would have been absolutely marvellous if the wildly avant garde CONFESSIONS OF AN OPIUM EATER (1962) had been included to substantially beef things up here.

If possible THE MAD MAGICIAN (1954), THE BAT (1959) and THE TINGLER (1959) are all apt selections for such a collection.

I have this on preorder (at a ripe price) and it will mark the first Scream Factory release that I've purchased since the last Vincent Price Collection.

Now that THE THIRD collection is out and there is no rumor of another....For those in the know....I agree with many others. The most notable missing title from the Price listing is THEATER OF BLOOD. Does anyone have an idea IF it is coming and perhaps when....One of the best Price and Riggs do super jobs. I know is has been released in the UK, but is region locked. Thanks.
