Meant to post this earlier, but this premiered last night, with "Chardee MacDennis 2: Electric Boogaloo."

"This is a woman's head in a freezer. And it's supposed to represent the preservation of love for all eternity." I hope the series finale has no jokes whatsoever, and is devoted solely to the Gang discovering Dennis's shrine to murder for 30 entire minutes.

The reveal that Andy Buckley was a plant by Frank made perfect sense when you consider (A) no executive from a company that big would be hanging out in a shitty bar like Paddy's, and (B) an actual executive would have left halfway through that ridiculous video.

Mac and Charlie doing stereotypical vato Mexican gang-member accents was so so funny. Especially when Charlie buttons the top button on his shirt, Cholo-style.

Also: squeezing the IV bags to "drink," Frank's Nazi-flag ("It's four Fs...I didn't know it was gonna come off like that."), and Charlie's subtitled slurs (I love that they bring that back from the Boggs episode, and that they subtitle just so we can see that he's not even making sense underneath the impediment).

I still love this show.

For some reason my cable setup just does NOT like FXX, so I always have to catch its shows on demand.

EDIT: Okay, that was flagrant fan service, but I laughed my ass off.

"...But you will be clean. Only when you are clean will you know my power."

So, Dennis totally murdered the Swedish ski-people, right? Aside from that, loved the ever-knowing, omniscient PA announcer.

It did have me thinking one of them fell and hit their head immediately after the first trip down the slope (à la "Mac's Big Break"), and the whole thing was just a dream, but it wasn't. And it worked.

It isn't really exploring new territory when you point out that the hijinks in '80s films are mostly creepy and illegal, but the Porky's scene was great. I especially liked watching Mac try to wrap his head around the actual nature and morality of Dean Cameron's "pranks."

Excellent episode. I only wish they had given us more Courtney Gains.

"Gross. You were fourteen. So, technically, you were raped."
"It wasn't 'rape'. You can't rape a guy!"
"Hunh?"
"You can't rape...I wa-- I was willing! Y'know, it's cool, I bedded an older woman -- it's cool, right, Grieco?"

All those old pictures of Dennis. Holy shit.

Well, congratulations to "The Gang Cracks The Liberty Bell" you're no longer the worst episode of "Sunny". I don't know what the hell I was watching last night and maybe I need to watch again, but this one did nothing for me. It went way too far off the reservation. And with no disrespect to Frank, a whole episode of him with barely any involvement from the rest of the gang does not work.

Frankly, I haven't been thrilled with this season so far. There are signs that they are running low on ideas. The season kicked off with a rehash of "Charlie MacDennis" and the episode after that was essentially a remake of a couple of the early "Frank joins the gang" episodes. The ski episode was good, but I guess it's probably a Your Miliage May Vary thing depending on your knowledge of screwball 80's Ski comedies. The suburbs episode was decent but loses some points due to very little involvement from Charlie, Frank and Dee.

It's probably no conincidence that I'm noticing some unfamiliar names in the credits especially in the writing and directing department. It seems that Rob, Charlie and Glenn are much less involved in the writing these days.
