A trailer for this seemed conspicuously absent from tonight's Super Bowl. Or did I just miss it?

I agree that Zach Snyder didn't change Superman or do anything really radical with the character but I think there's a happier medium to be found between the antiquated goody good Superman of yesteryear and the dark story that Snyder used for Man Of Steel.

It's not that Snyder changed Superman, it's that the dark tone of MOS felt wrong for the character. Superman is known as a symbol of hope, a lighter and brighter character, and has been that way for a long time. Man of Steel was a depressing movie, especially the first time I saw it.

I agree with Brandon on this take of Superman. I'm a big fan of Donner's Superman but the Silver Age is over. That delve into a more fantasy Superman ("Oh, you're from Krypton, is that C-R-I") like you meet an alien every day. This was a more science fiction take on the character. I loved Pa Kent's reference to the social implication of an alien coming to earth. Just that sentence alone justifies a whole movie around it. Can you imagine if an alien actually came down from the skies? The social chaos would be beyond imaginable. I'm enjoying this angle quite a bit and look forward to see where things go.

And that internet clip that Sam shared is brilliant.

I didn't see a trailer for the movie in the Super Bowl either.

No "trailer" per se but there were two "Book your flight on Turkish Airlines" faux commercials which I thought were pretty sly. One for Gotham and one for Metropolis.

Yep, and they aired during the post game show so you may have missed it if you didn't stick around for much of the post game stuff. I actually thought it was a pretty clever ad for the movie and Turkish Airlines.

Yea, I'm not really seeing Snyderman doing something so. . . human.

Give him more than 24 hours (in movie universe time) as Superman to find himself.

Also, read the BvS Promo Comic about Superman stopping an out-of-control train. He's grown into the more traditional hero between the two films.

That shot of Batman overlooking the desert is just stunning. Justice League should be quite unique visually when it comes out next year.

Of the new things we saw here. I appreciate the Batman working people over, Alfred's droll humor, insight into Clark/Lois personal time relationship, and our first line from Diana.

This new last trailer is real good and it shows they learned from their mistake. But it's too late. The damage has already been done and the movie already spoiled with the last trailer. You can't go back. This is what they should have done the last time.

I have to basically agree but since I haven't seen the movie, I hope I'm wrong. If the Warners marketing team was behind The Force Awakens ad campaign, they'd have shown
Luke's appearance at the end of the movie or Rey catching the lightsaber or the Starkiller Base blowing up
in that trailer.

I don't think the ending of the film is any more spoiled than what we got with Star Wars. Those trailers showed Finn with the lightsaber fighting Kylo Ren, for example. That wasn't everything in that part of the film, and I doubt Doomsday is everything about the end of the film.

In other words: in reality we're not any more spoiled than what the title of the film and the future films on the schedule already told us. Unless someone thought the Justice League would form after Superman kills Batman or something.
