Sam-

I don't want to rehash AB in this thread, but like it or not ads play the bills. For those who are are running them, we are going to let you know that you are no helping the site. If you are running premium, we ignore your AB as you are supporting the site that way. (Plug for premium: Its $1 a month gives you no ads, some enhanced site features and ignores your AB software). Back to the WRU.

I understand sites depend on ads, but I was forced to start using a blocker when many sites got obnoxious with the pop-ups, pop-unders, and flyovers. I've been pretty much malware free since I made that move. I did go ahead and disable the blocker for HTH to help support it since I trust the site.

Delicate balance of SEO vs. User Convenience...
There are actually a lot of good reasons, mostly boring behind the scenes ones. Ultimately the blog/articles will become the site front page and it will be a little more seamless then. You should be logged in as your login should sync. We have been doing a lot of work on the blog side so that might have caused a momentary hiccup.

This might backfire if it is being done for SEO, especially if the blog/articles are going to be on the front page. I've read that Google will penalize a page that has too many affiliate links on it and that a good rule of thumb is one affiliate link for every 500 words. This weeks WRU comes out to about 870 words with 54 affiliate links. That's probably why another well known site has a separate review page for each movie, has one or two affiliate links near the top of every review page, then has most of their homepage links directing to the review pages instead of directly to Amazon.
