Amazing three play sequence: A 25-yard pass completion is inexplicably upheld as an incompletion after review, Stewart gets his foot/ankle twisted and doesn't seem the same for the rest of the game, and then Cam gets whacked in the face by Von Miller (without a call) and gives up the strip-sack for 6. Seemed to change the game.

Happy for T.J. Ward. My nephew ran track with him in high school (they know him as "Travis").

Listen to Cam's presser. You can hear Chris Harris talking about how they beat Cam. I think that's why he left. But he could have handled it better. He could have said, "Look, I don't really want to sit here and listen to Denver gloat. If the NFL wants to set this up with the teams separate, I'm happy to come back and answer any questions you guys want." Then he should have walked out.

My favorite post game stuff was Peyton plugging Budweiser every chance he got and smooching the Papa John pizza guy before he even kissed his wife and kids. The guy is a giant fraud and takes every opportunity to show off what a clown he is. It is so damn hilarious!

Isn't it obvious with some of the comments from a certain fan base.

Talking team fan base or Sports TalkShow Host 'Facts are Irrelevant' Personality fanbase? I can hazard a guess for both.

I can't say I was a big Cam fan before he was selected with his past difficulties and through the 1st 2 years he basically played to form both on/off the field with his sulking/towel draping/petulant act when things weren't going well. On Field his talent is obvious though still developing, but I really thought he had turned things around and finally "got it" off the field after his near catastrophic car accident that he somehow escaped unscathed last year. I always had this tiny nagging doubt in the back of head that it could be a carefully constructed act, but it seemed so genuine that I really hope yesterday was a massive aberration and not just an unmasking, but it was truly embarrassing way to respond in public. There are so many school/news reports of Elementary and Middle School teachers having to use it as a teaching moment of how not to behave when things go wrong. The kids really seem to love him and he seemed to be doing so much in the community to help that it would be really sad if it all just turns out to be one big PR dress-up doll.

The first football game I can ever remember seeing was SB VI, the Cowboys first title. I was seven years old. When I got a little older and knew more about football, I asked my dad why the Cowboys, who were obviously a better team, lost SB V the year before to the Colts. My dad said something like, "That game was a series of freak plays, all of which went against Dallas." My entire life (I'm 51) I have wanted to see more than the highlights but believed only the 3rd quarter was extant (because a guy on eBay offered to sell me the 3rd quarter for $100, which I have for years refused).

Tonight, a lifelong dream came true. I got to see the complete SB V broadcast (the pregame had Joe Nameth predicting a Colts victory). This broadcast included halftime as well as the original commercials (surprisingly the whole thing was more than 4hrs). I'll always be sad the way the Cowboys lost (recovering the fumble yet not being granted possession). But at least I can go to my grave having witnessed what transpired--and understanding now why Chuck Howley is the only player from a losing team to win SB MVP (because rightfully the Cowboys should have won the game).

I know it may sound strange but seeing this game tonight was a big deal for me, a top-ten wish my whole life. So many irksome questions have been answered.

What a great way to end the football season.

Very happy as a long time Denver Broncos fan. Obviously have to credit the players and coaches, especially Wade Phillips for his brilliant game plan, but I also want to credit John Elway. He went out and assembled all the pieces. He realized that defense wins championships.

Has anyone meant more to a franchise than John Elway to the Broncos? First, he is a Hall of Fame quarterback who lead the team to several Super Bowls and a couple of championships. Now he is the executive responsible for building them back into a champion.

The only other athlete / exec that comes to mind quickly is Joe Dumars with the Pistons , who was playoff MVP once during the Bad Boys title run and built the team that made two NBA Finals, winning the title in 2004.

what is your point?
I don't think there is one...other than that Pats fans are riddled with bitterness that most everyone outside of NE despises their franchise. Also, the "Patriot Way" refuses to acknowledge that anyone other than Belichick or Brady have ever accomplished anything. And if they do, it's only because the Pats were (1)- hurt, (2)- conspired against, or (3)- both.

I readily admit if the Taliban started an NFL franchise, I'd cheer for them over the Pats.

My point was Peyton makes me chuckle. I'm not sure what he loves more, football or being a pitchman.

I readily admit if the Taliban started an NFL franchise, I'd cheer for them over the Pats.

Plus the kind of weirdness above is always fun. As a football fan for some 43 years now (Packers and Chargers) and somebody that just loved the game playing, coaching, and watching I have grown tired of the NFL and their incredibly lousy handling of so many situations. Plus in the era of Facebook, Twitter, and being bombarded 24/7/365 with media...well...I think we have grown into a ridiculous and fairly horribly whine obsessed society.

I can certainly see that to some people, and there are a lot of them, the Taliban are better people than football players (and fans) from New England. Makes total sense.

If Brady had been caught using HGH and sending thugs to threaten somebody's family people nationwide would be wailing that he is a cheater and the world's biggest a-hole and should be banned for life from the NFL and all of his trophies and achievements taken away.

EDIT: I should not even say if Brady had been "caught" because when it comes to Brady or anybody involved with the Patriots all you need to do is accuse them and then present absolutely no evidence they did anything wrong and a whole bunch of people would then just brand them guilty no matter how much actual evidence there was to the contrary.

It is a hilarious world we live in.

Completely agree with you, Scott. Elway is THE most important figure ever in Colorado sports. It can be argued that his presence made it possible for Denver to get a major league baseball franchise. It was Elway who convinced Manning to come to Denver, and it was Elway who went out and assembled one of the greatest defenses in Super Bowl history. So very much is owed to him.

It's more of a curious bemusement at the steady stream of anti-Patriots dumbassery like the above comments.
