To answer my own question , CBS will reissue an official Version of the first season of The Beverley Hillbillies , so they're not completely done yet .

For me, editing has been a deal breaker with one show, and that's "Saturday Night Live". Although the 80s episodes I saw on Comedy Central in the 90s were the hour-long versions, they still retained the musical guests and quite a few sketches with copyrighted music. When I had a Netflix subscription briefly, I was heartened to see that they had all the seasons of SNL, and the disheartened to read that the episodes were heavily edited after season 5. No musical guests and, barring the occasional sketch like Eddie Murphy's Michael Jackson impression or "More Cowbell", no sketches with copyrighted music, either. It's like that for post-season 5 SNL on all online platforms, be it Hulu, Yahoo or Seeso. Even VH1 Classic, Comedy Central's sister station, was basically playing the edited online prints of the show during the marathon leading up to the 40th anniversary special last year, and just like on DVD and online, only the first 5 seasons were shown with all their musical guests and sketches with copyrighted music intact.

I will admit to watching an occasional SNL sketch online, but I wish that I could see all the musical guests and sketches with copyrighted music from season 6 onwards again. That, unfortunately, is most likely never going to happen.

If Lorne Michaels won't show respect to the time he wasn't producing the show when it comes to online prints, you would think he would at least do so for when he came back to the show in 1985 (or, more likely, when Season 12 rolled around and people started talking about the show positively again).
