Neil Brock said:It is MGM that controls the show and is to blame for doing nothing with the remaining seasons.
Doesn't Fox control the DVD releases for MGM, or am I wrong?

Sky King said:I've heard more excuses as to why Ben Casey isn't being released...from poor film elements to music clearance issues. I think both excuses are a load of cr@p. IMHO the truth is, CBS doesnt feel it would be a profitable property to release.
There were some good extras on the MPI sets that make them worth keeping, but for me this is a BIG DEAL!The CBS versions may be from the original 35mm elements, but I wouldn't get rid of those MPI sets just yet, at least not until we find out how much music they edit or replace.
Good heavens. Is that a hint?
No evidence in the syndication bible that season 1 has been remastered.
It has been so long since they've released a classic that I've forgotten how this typically works; Do we usually see that updated before a DVD release pops up, or sometime afterwards?
If they just lazily use their existing syndication transfers for it, that won't go over too well.
