AT&T Locker cloud app was updated in December and when I logged in, I suddenly discovered that 4 years of stored pix I had on there went POOF! So all gone. Lots of folks had same issues so the crack AT&T team posts to call in to get help. Of course I do and they are like "HUH?....whaaaa?" so now I have a "ticket" in their system and she "promised" I will get a call back to resolve AND get my pictures back.

Uh huh....somehow I'm betting they are gone. Not life ending stuff, but I would like them back if I can.

I do have the pics stored on external hard drive(s) but I'm just frustrated that the AT&T idiots doinked the app up so much. Several folks on Goggle Play have been ranting about it for a while

Worked for AT&T about ten years ago as a CSR when between jobs. Thankfully only three months, any longer and I would have gone insane. My best advice, stay away. Do not pass GO, don't get your $200. They are a horrible corporation.

I wish you luck on getting your pictures back. Quite sure they still have them somewhere, but they don't care. The CSR may be very nice, but has no control or access to what you're looking for. Keep trying, just be ready for an endless series of being put on hold, transfers to different departments, etc.

I recently accepted an offer for a new mastercard. My current annoyance is with whomever intercepted my replacement mastercard and opened not only the fedex envelope it was shipped in but also the actual mailing envelope containing the card inside the fedex envelope. Somehow the package ended up at the police station where it was then dropped off at my parents' house instead of mine (we live in the same city). I'm annoyed with the inept police department for contacting my parents instead of me but that's what happens when you live in Mayberry and everyone is all up in your business. The card was never activated and I called the cc company, told them what happened and requested a new card before any fraudulent charges could be made. It's a hassle and a half but at least I don't have to clean up an identity theft mess.

That's a fair point, although the ability to quote prior posts is very much an integral part of HTF, and has been used extensively in this Topic. I'm using an up arrow as a substitute until the quotability option is restored!

On less of a technical issue note, I am getting pretty tired of all of the snow and slush in our neck of the woods, so to speak! ;)

CHEERS! :)

It's really not that tough, but terrible programming and redundant.

You quote a previous post, then I think it's an "insert this quote" button, then another button to do the insert. Odd, but just bad coding.

Another odd thing is quite often posts just go into limbo land. They'll turn grey and not actually post. I'll look through the thread a day or two later, there's my post, greyed out, just sitting at the bottom of the screen. Touch it and it turns dark again and I can hit "post reply".

This is a great site and we're not paying subscription fees, so I thank the owners and mods and I'll stop bitching.

If you want to quote a post...don't click "+ Quote," click Reply. This will automatically quote the post to which you want to reply. One click and done. If you don;'t need to quote anything, just put your cursor in the reply box.

The "+ Quote" button is for multiple quotes. Click on as many of them as you want, then click on the "Insert Quote" button under the Edit box. You will be shown all the Quotes you entered. Delete any you change your mind about and push the Quote button to get them all to show.

On the 2nd issue you mention Stan, that is actually a nice new feature. As posts get typed, they get auto-saved. It has already saved my neck a couple of times as I was composing a lengthy post and accidentally clicked on a link which took me away from the page. But if I return to the page, the draft of my work has been saved and is still eligible for posting!

One other thing. If you don't want to reproduce someone's ENTIRE post, just select the pertinent section and highlight it. When you are done a little box will appear gtiving you the option to "+ Quote" (multi-quote) or "Reply" (direct quote) of just the highlighted text. Also, pretty cool.

We all appreciate members who get that this is still a work-in-progress for the owners and coders as well as the rest of us users. We are all still learning and adapting to our new universe here. So, copping attitudes about things which aren't quite working perfectly yet doesn't help. A little patience and understanding goes a long way in this. So, thanks!

Thanks Mike. There are always things to get used to when there are software changes.

Hope it wasn't me you were referring to with "copping an attitude". I love this forum and upgrades are just a part of life.

To the conrary, Stan, I was appreciative of your earlier remark and was reacting to that:

:D

I'm annoyed that I missed 4 easy spares during sweepers at bowling tonight. Those opens and some big splits made the difference between coming home with $80 and the possible $400 I could have won. D'oh! Hopefully I'll do better this weekend.

The new trendy thing in food seems to be touting that your food is "clean." Seemingly this is a catch-all term supplanting a variety of other passé terms such as all natural, organic, cage-free, non-GMO, etc. But I still find it annoying, especially the weekly emails from Panera Bread touting their latest "clean" food and combos.

They've gotten rid of many of their longstanding menu items and replaced them with bland tasting items. Apparently all that garbage at least tasted good.:D

I actually have three annoyances at the moment:

1. I don't know whether it's because of the recent Windows 10 update, but I'm noticing a lot of webpages either failing or taking forever to load. I've checked my Network Card, which Device Manager indicates is working properly, and even performed the uninstall/reinstall Google Chrome tango, which in of itself took way longer (15-20 minutes vs. the usual 2 minutes, or so!) than it normally does! It doesn't appear to have helped much, if at all!

2. Upon asking my wife if her internet was working OK, she informed me that her Cogeco Facebook page posted that our internet will be shut down from February 27-29, due to some major revamping from their end! So much for my posting about the "First Anniversary" of Davy Jones' February 29, 2012 passing on the actual upcoming leap day, which was ironically the same day we had our Cogeco devices installed! :(

3. The OK (Enter) button on our PVR Remote has recently been becoming increasingly non functional. Apparently, the only way to get it to work, is to repress the Cable button, as my wife figured out that the Remote seems to "forget" that it's in Cable mode, instead of TV!

On the upside, upon contacting Cogeco for a replacement remote (Which we'll receive by Canada Post Mail Courier this Wednesday.), I did find out that Canada Post will be delivering on Monday despite it being Family Day in our province, since they fall under Federal Government services and the statutory holiday is provincial. Thus, there is hope that my Warner Archive GENERAL SPANKY (1936) DVD-R may arrive tomorrow!

CHEERS! :)

My current gripes:

How FedEx and UPS never ring the doorbell when delivering a package. I recently had delivered an HTPC case that looked like an expensive receiver. Of course they just stuck a shipping label on the retail box. It was sitting outside for two hours before my wife noticed it through the window. Could have easily been stolen.

How people won't shovel their sidewalks. As a person who walks their dog year-round (see previous gripe) and as a father with two kids who walk to the bus stop, this is annoying. In particular, religious leaders and HOA Board members in my neighborhood - people who take ownership of guiding the community - never do.

This crap:
View media item 2879It used to really annoy me when I was pushing a stroller, but now I'm only walking the dog so I'm annoyed on principle. Having to step over their mud next to the driveway, or mounds of snow just to use the sidewalk which I, as a pedestrian, have a right to use. There's plenty of space in both the driveway and the apron to park a car. There's no need to block the sidewalk.

Unfortunately, my GENERAL SPANKY (1936) DVD-R hasn't yet arrived, which leads me to my latest annoyance.

The Amazon Marketplace vendor's response to my Shipping Inquiry regarding just what delivery service they use for Canadian deliveries only detailed what services they use within the U.S!

On top of that, it took them nearly a full day to supply me with their dumba$$ useless as t*ts response!

For what it's worth, I just sent them an email, in which I re-clarified my inquiry, but SMFH!!!!

CHEERS! :)

Whenever I invite a good friend, who happens to live in my neighborhood, over he always and I mean always asks is it okay if "person a" and or "person b" comes along? He absolutely cannot control this need to expand the invite - happens 100% of the time. Very irritating.

I'm annoyed that I didn't play my numbers today when i bet on the dog races, like I did the last few days, and they hit. These other numbers popped into my head this morning, so i played them instead.

When Amazon Canada inexplicably ships one of my orders from way out west in Richmond BC, instead of Mississauga Ontario, which is only a 4 hour drive away!

I didn't enjoy having to tell my wife that she can actually expect the order I placed for her to take Amazon's estimated full week for delivery! :P
