As a Bronco fan for 43 years, I'm actually more confident as the underdog than if everyone was picking us to win. Feels like SB 32 in a way, when Packers were 11 point prohibitive favorites. Living in SC, bandwagon Panther fans have come out of the woodwork, most couldn't even tell you half the Panthers line-up outside of Cam and "The Blind Side" Oher.

I'm wondering if SB50 is turning out a lot like the Bills/Giants SB. Everyone was on the Bills bandwagon with their high powered offense and no one was giving the Giants much of a chance.
The gratuitous self quote.

Defense wins championships.

As a Raiders fan it kind of sucked to see them catch the Raiders in championships but you really have to admire that Defensive effort this year.

Balance in the cosmos has been restored. Younger brother Eli no longer has more SB rings than older brother Peyton.

Denver's defense reminded me of the 1977 Doomsday defense that beat up Craig Morton and the Broncos. That game was never even close, even when the lead was only 6.

Yeah, and when they showed the Manning family celebrating after the final touchdown that sealed the game, Eli looked like someone had just killed his puppy.

Yeah, it sucks, but I like Peyton Manning so I'm happy he has the opportunity to go out with another SB championship.

I just want to say that Cam Newton disappointed me more in his after-the-game performance than what his in-game performance. He didn't handle that media session well and he deserves the bad press he's going to get for his short answers, sulking demeanor and then walking out. I hope somebody Newton respects reaches out to him and tells him he needs to act more mature and responsibly in defeat, even, when it's really painful to do so. That's what a true leader does......

That was an amazing defensive performance by Denver. They completely shutdown Carolina, and the Panthers had no answers -- only mistakes. Von Miller was very deserving of the MVP award, especially since it cannot go to an assistant coach. ;)

I did not see any of Cam Newton's post game comments, but it was being discussed on Mike & Mike this morning while I was driving to work. It sounds like he still has some growing up to do.

Carolina joins Minnesota (0-4), Buffalo (0-4) and Cincinnati (0-2) as the only franchises to play in multiple Super Bowls without a win.

I don't have any issue with Cam being disappointed after the game. It's not like he was using banned substances that would cause him to be suspended by the NFL and then when he got caught he sent thugs to intimidate the family of the guy that outed his wrongdoing/cheating according to NFL rules.

BRONCOS!!!! Living in SC, lots of Panther fans talked shit all week....now, crickets. This was the most satisfying win I've experienced in over 40 years of Bronco fandom. My comparison to SB32 turned out to be apt....although we squeaked by GB in 1997, whereas we skull-stomped the Panthers.

Cam Newton looked very uptight during the entire game. He did not handle the pressure from the Denver defense well, and may have struggled with the spotlight of the Super Bowl, as well. He did not look like he was having any fun at all, unlike the rest of this season's games. He wasn't "Donovan McNab tossing his cookies" bad, but it was noticeable.

Congrats, Broncos fans. For two weeks I've been telling myself "the Patriots would've gotten killed anyway," but I guess not. :)

I didn't hear much of Newton's press conference, but I can't say I'm that surprised at the reactions. This is the guy who, before that Pro Bowl incident, was kicked out of the U. of Florida for stealing a computer, and then supposedly demanded $180,000 to sign with Mississippi State. There may still be some growin' up to do.

Here's an image they captured of the "PIs" who went after the Sly family:
