Needed 100 percent more Will Smith and Randy Quaid, but otherwise I liked it. Still wish they'd brought back Mae Whitman as Bill Pullman's daughter, though.
I remember Godzilla as pure sh*t, but I rewatched it a while back, after not having seen it in about 10 years, and guess what, it is not actually a total stinker, it does have its moments; although maybe not as good as that trailer, it delivers much more than The Phanton Menace did on its pretty good trailer.Lord Dalek said:Every Emmerich movie has a good trailer (Godzilla's is a classic)
Then you realize that its going to be a steaming turd no matter what.
Chris Will said:I'm intrigued because I'm a huge fan of the original. The first movie was just a big ball of cheesy summer blockbuster fun. This trailer seems to be taking itself too serious, I hope they don't forget the charm, and cheese, that made the first one so much fun.

We had a ball - a joyous laugh-fest - much to the annoyance of fellow audience members seated close-by. In fact seeing how seriously the audience was taking it only heightened our mirth. Our pleasure at that screening remains a treasured memory, and my apologies to anyone reading this that was seated nearby in the Perth cinema that day in the late-nineties.

That would make sense...if they weren't defeated with a Mac Powerbook.Steve_Pannell said:Maybe the aliens used Apple computers. Therefore, they would have no idea what a virus is. Right?
