This was considered unlikely to see the light of day and I had completely written it off -- an automatic buy for me! Awesome news and thanks to SHOUT! Hopefully Phyllis will be coming down the pipe, too...

As far as Rhoda goes, though I've been told I should shut up and be happy with what we get, I'd like to see Shout do what they did with Mr. Ed... a complete series set alongside the final season release, with the first season episodes restored to their proper original broadcast length.

I'm glad Lou Grant is finally coming to DVD, but I have to say this is a very "out of left field" title. Hour long dramas (excluding cop or westerns) don't usually sell very well and I won't be a bit surprised if season 1 is all we ever get. I would have thought St. Elsewhere would have been more likely. It is good that Fox and Shout have kissed and made up after their most recent estrangement so hopefully more MTM gems will come, besides more Newhart and Lou Grant.

Not at liberty to say any more but let's just say that its only the tip of the iceberg. More coming, although I haven't seen any of the titles mentioned in this thread. Most will be "Timeless" shows. Oh, and if Lou Grant isn't socially relevant enough for you...

I wonder if that includes anything Shout! previously released from them and then stalled.

I hope the next step is a full-series release. Would also like a full-series of St. Elsewhere. The full-series releases are about the only way we can be sure of getting them completed. My full-series purchases of shows that until then weren't completed include Cagney & Lacey, Cannon, The Equalizer, Hill Street Blues and WKRP in Cincinnati. I'm glad to have them all.

Socially relevant? Perhaps something along the lines of Eastside/Westside or even The Defenders?

A complete series release of The Defenders would be a godsend but last I had heard from CBS was that the series only exists on film, the transfer costs were very high, and music clearances were costly and complicated thereby scaring off potential licensees. Still, I would love to see that release become a reality....

I'm still smarting over the recent heads up from an HTF member that a potential licensing deal for a Region 1 release of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour apparently feel through: see Post #30 in http://hometheaterforum.com/threads/hitchcock-presents-release.214466/page-2. And with a Region 1 Season 7 release of Alfred Hitchcock Presents uncertain (along with the defective flippers in Season 1 and the MOD DVD-R release of Season 6), it's kinda of depressing for Hitchcock on TV fans at present. How all 10 seasons (7 of Presents and 3 of Hour) can be released by Fabulous Films in Region 2 and Madman Entertainment in Region 4 but not in Region 1 is bewildering to say the least.

Let's just say that with one exception, the remainder of the iceberg won't be plagued with stalling opportunities.

Thar be some complete series releases headed for our hull, Captain Smith? LOL! Not having to worry about individual season sets stalling out would be most welcome in today's DVD-collecting environment!

I too, am still wounded over the false start R1 release of Hitchcock Presents/Hour...if Shout could unleash Burke's Law / Amos Burke and 12 O'clock High, that would be great...

If Universal won't do the right thing (and right now), I indulge in further fantasy and wish RLJ would handle Hitchcock Presents / Hour...I love what they gave us from another Universal property...Boris Karloff's Thriller...they haven't given me anything since Naked City...ha.ha...

Oh, and thank you Shout Factory for Lou Grant...

Haven't seen it mentioned, but The Ghost & Mrs. Muir would be nice to see.

If Universal programs are sneaking in here, I sure wish that Shout Factory would work more deals with CBS along the lines of what we saw with The Phil Silvers Show in 2014.

And MGM's Green Acres would be nice to see and is a show that they've pursued in the past. While they came very close before, there can be little question now that MGM doesn't foresee ever finishing that one up themselves, so a financially sensible deal might be able to be struck these days.

Ok. I'll play. Socially relevant brings 4 shows to mind. The Defenders, Mr Novak, Room 222, and East Side/West Side.

222 has already been tried by them and it didn't sell, I'm guessing they won't revisit this one

Novak is a Warner property and if it ever does come out, they will surely be the ones who release it. They has repeatedly reported clearance issues preventing a release currently

That leaves the other two and of those I would think East Side/West Side would woork out for them easiest for their Timeless department. A one season show which would be one release and done, whereas The Defenders would be along term committment for them due being a multi season show.

I'd truthfully like to see both but the Defenders is a grail show for me.

Honestly if Shout is working with Fox, I really do hope they do something with Twelve O Clock High. I think that show would fit very nicely into the Timeless wheelhouse.

I'm very excited at the prospect of owning LOU GRANT in pristine and uncut quality. I'm even more excited at the suggestion that even better stuff is coming.

Although no one here in "the know" can confirm any titles before Shout! does, is there a possibility of getting some idea of the time frame during which we can expect some more wonderful announcements?

I will gladly accept any and all of these. And Hawk , NYPD, Ben Casey, etc...

I've pretty much given up on Ben Casey ever being released on DVD.
IMHO...the powers that be, would rather release childish crap and shows which can't even hold a candle to Casey, a prime time Emmy Award winning show. The excuse that there are music clearance issues with this show are B.S.
CBS/Paramount missed the boat with Ben Casey and as it's potential audience dwindles in size with time, so will its chances of a DVD release.
