Just curious and I'm sorry if this has been discussed. I tried to search and came up empty. I recently purchased some of Andrew Jones' work in the form of the Pioneer SP-BS22 Front L+R, Pioneer SP-C22 Center and Pioneer SW-8MK2 Sub for my home office media room and really like them the more I listen. I was just curious what his newest effort with Elac sounded like in person.

I think at this point only Amazon is carrying them so they are going to need to be purchased in order to hear them. This is different from the BS22 which was available at the big box so you could go sample them in the store. I for one have not heard them as no one I know has got a set yet.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, I found an extensive owner's thread on another forum and managed to get a good bit of reading in about the speakers. You can purchase them through Amazon and through Elac direct at this point from what I've seen. I understood that they would need to be purchased for any members to have auditioned them (of course other than the few industry shows that AJ has demoed them. I was just hoping that a few audio addicted members may have purchased them by this point, LOL.

Yeah I would be interested to give them a listen just to see what the buzz is all about. I just can't do it right now with no real place for them. The BS22's I would have bought especially on sale just to hear them but these are a good bit more expensive.

FYI have you heard that Elac is coming out with a coaxial version much like the KEF Q series? They are supposed to be even better than the debut series from initial reports.

I'm in the same boat. I'd love to give them a listen but I'm full up on any place to put them. I'd have to replace something I currently have. I just purchased the Pioneer BS22's for my office 5.1 setup. I guess I could replace my Mirage M-490's in the main movie watching/music listening area but I'm still really happy with the way they sound even after all these years. I'm the original owner. If I could audition the B5/B6 or the upcoming Elac Uni's it might change my mind. Ignorance truly is bliss....not too mention, less expensive, LOL.

I just found the thread on the coaxial Uni speakers the other day on the same forum that I found the Elac owner's thread. Good reading. I'm impressed to see Elac taking such an active role on the forums and seeing AJ himself post leaves me even more impressed. I'm never going to be able to have super high end audio gear so I love the fact the budget arena is heating up. It gives me hope of being able to enjoy music and movies to the fullest extent that my mostly untrained ears can enjoy.

Are you talking about the existing ones or the NEW ones that were shown at CES? The ones at CES with the concentric drivers are the ones generating the buzz IMO.

Hi John,

I was asking about the currently available Debut Line (B5/B6) speakers that were introduced at THE Show at Newport last October I think. I understand that they have an up-level line coming out in a couple of months (Uni_Fi) that are also getting a lot of good press as well but not what I was presently interested in purchasing.
