I really like the way you've got the tags (3D, etc.) working, with the "filtering" function at the top of the forum.

Just for the heck of it, I quickly browsed through all the 3D pages. There are 449 threads, which pleasantly surprised me, and this is activity that will continue to grow. So then I was left wondering why the decision not to just keep it as its own sub-forum.

It also occurred to me (only half seriously) that taking the tag functionality to its extreme, there would theoretically have to be only one humongous forum. with every thread tagged and able to be filtered on. That's silly, of course. But it still brings up the question of where the lines get drawn. Just curious, mostly.

I do look forward to having the missing buttons such as RAH's available as well.

The filtering icons will be coming and going this weekend as we are working on them. Regarding 3D and other tags, its not just the number of threads, but the amount of regular activity too as well as other factors. Sometimes segregating things works well, other times it doesn't and those areas end up losing traffic. We worked with some forum and UI experts to figure out what the best forum structure would be. In the past its been fairly knee-jerk, so we wanted to step back and take a fresh perspective. These changes have been in the works for a while, we just thought it made sense to do it at the same time we migrated the platform.

Can't figure out how to edit a P.M. once it has been sent. It was an option with the previous version.

Still can't see threads I've PARTICIPATED in on desktop. This option is present and working on Taptalk.

We had the editing permissions set pretty restrictively on PMs. I just pushed it out to match threads. The edit button is on the same place:

The formatting for quotes does not display properly underneath articles, but does in the the thread. I'm using Safari on iOS.

Also, I can't see all the prices in the WRU when in full screen landscape mode and of course we still can't see them in portrait mode which is how I prefer to browse.

I like this new board software. A couple of other discussion boards I frequent run XenForo and so I knew once this migration went through its growing pains it would be exceptional.

However; either I have gotten too old and my eyes are failing me or the colors are what they are but I can barely distinguish between the color in the quoted area vs. the response area. Am I the only one having an issue with this? Regardless, I did a quick mock-up of what the quoted area would look like with a border. The first one is the current style and then it runs through borders from 3px to 1 px.

If it's just me then please disregard!

Just thought I should mention that that Image Uploading issue I experienced a few weeks back has returned, and I'm once again unable to upload images from my PC for HTF Posts! All I get is the "Image URL:" box with the field space for entering an image's online address, and the "Insert" and "Cancel" options.

My viewing Platform is an Acer PC Laptop with the latest Windows 10 update, on the Google Chrome Browser, if that helps.

CHEERS! :)
I'm still experiencing the above issue! :(

Could anyone provide some helpful feedback, please?

CHEERS! :)

David, what browser/device are you using. We had that problem with quotes on articles early on but fixed it and it looks correct when I am looking at the sites. I'll play around with the WRU data today and see if I can improve that.

As I mentioned in a few previous posts, I vastly prefer the ability to force a default to a desktop versions of sites on my mobile devices. I received multiple reassuring messages that the new HTF site would be wonderful on my portable devices. Yet, when I attempt to access the forum sections menu list on my iPhone or iPad, this is what I see:

When I use that slide over menu, I only have quick access to the listing of forums that are contained in the FIRST column on the left. The other columns, instead of appearing below the first column, retain their position to the side of the first column and I'm not able to slide them over to pick a forum.

If, instead, I had the EXACT same version as the desktop version appearing on my iPhone or iPad, I could simply pinch and zoom to enlarge/reduce the required sections and quickly navigate to where I want to go.

As is ALWAYS the case with forced mobile versions of sites, I'm not impressed with the forced mobile versions of the new HTF site. Such shenanigans ruin the experience for me and that results in me spending less time (or no time) at sites when I'm on a mobile device.

As for the desktop version of the new HTF, I think it is a very nice improvement over the previous forum software. So, kudos on that.

We have a non responsive version of the theme in the works. So you will be able to do that

Interesting. After entering the reply above, I received an update notice for the app. After updating, the app has a new look similar to the new forums software on my PC. Before the update, the app had the old appearance but still worked.

We have the app updated for Android, but not iOS. We are not making any guarantees that we'll keep the app or Tapatalk however. That will depend on how they behave. They've had some security and privacy issues in the past.

I'm getting the 420 character limit message once again!

Here it is:

Why is it that I keep repeatedly getting the same bloody errors? Simply annoying beyond belief!

Tony, you're writing a profile post not a private message. I think that's the problem. You don't have a character limit when using the conversation (private message) functionality.

I'm not digging the notifications. I think this happened in the previous migrations and I understand why, but it doesn't work for how I use the forum. I'm used to getting a new e-mail notification each time someone replies to a watched thread. Now, it's only one notification and then I have to log back into HTF to get more. (They were also going to spam, but I think I fixed that.)
