If you select reply it should automatically bring the quoted single post to the bottom.

If you do click '+quote' it seems to store it in memory and I get a drop down from the top of the screen saying I've selected Multiquote, if you click "- quote" it takes it out of memory.
With my FF (Win 10), after I do the "+ quote" I can see the "insert quotes..." box at the bottom left of the typing box next to "Insert Bookmarks" though it still takes a couple more clicks to get that to populate the reply box instead of automatically doing it like before. I tried just typing my response without the insert quote and hitting post hoping it might auto-populate the selected quotes, but that didn't work.

You're saying you can see the Insert Quote button on Chrome, but not FF? It will be interesting to see if your home computer does the same. I guess it could be FF43, but that makes less sense than a Security Setting on your work computer

Thanks for the tip on hitting "reply" - I was able to do that for this particular note, and viola, your quote appeared a the bottom.

But yes, you are correct about the "Insider Quote" button and how I'm experiencing it.

Another thing you can do (and this is pretty cool)...

If you want to just quote PART of a post, just select that part of the post you want to quote (like i did here). When you let go of the mouse button, a pop-up window will appear allowing you to either select quote+ or reply.

Really cool.

That also doesn't work in my particular version of Firefox - I'm convinced it must be something my system's administrator has set up and not an HTF glitch. But that sounds pretty cool. Now I just gotta get out of the habit of using Firefox for this - if I know it doesn't display right on this one browser and I have other options, I have only myself to blame for not using them :)

That's great, Dave! Your response time in approving and implementing requested features has been amazing. You guys must be working around the clock to ensure as painless a rollout as possible. Very impressive and greatly appreciated.

...Here's another request: could you please also include a tag for "A few words about..." in that new forum tag list at top, as it's currently not there?

Thank you
It should be there. What forum is it missing from? It will only be listed in forums where there are some matching tagged theads. Its possible I was still playing with it at the time you looked.

Wait a minute. Are you saying this new system STILL crashes and reloads on the iPad? One of the reasons I abandoned HTF for Blu-Ray.com was because I could never get HTF to format on my iPad. Pages would constantly crash and then reload. I moved over to Tapatalk, but that had its own set of quirks which can be just as annoying. I largely left HTF as a result of its incompatibility with iPads.

If you're saying now the new HTF will only consistently work properly on an iPad if you pay for a subscription, I don't see much reason to return in any substantial way. I hope that won't be the case.

That was the ONLY loading issue I've had with the site since the migration, otherwise it loads great on the iPad now. It just happened to happen right before I replied, so it was fresh on my mind and I wanted to mention in case there was a tweak they needed to do for the platform to be more stable. But the more I use the new site the more I like, so much faster plus better text editing with the iPad now.:) Adding that simple emoji was so easy!

Adam, I'm looking at the Blu-ray and UHD forum list (which is the correct one for "A Few Words About" tag), but it doesn't appear among the listed options at top.

I only see the following options at the top (from left to right):

All, 3D, CUSTOM COVER, INTERNATIONAL, UHD

Breadcrumbs trail display: Home > Forums > Media

Viewing site on iPad-Safari

We have permissions set on some of the tags, so only a reviewer can tag the thread as a review, only RAH can tag a thread with A Few Words About, etc. It looks like its reading those permissions when it decides what it can display for you to filter on. That's why Cameron was seeing the review tags but not AFWA, I was seeing them all, you weren't seeing some and I just tested with a logged out and am seeing none. This may take a few days to get sorted out.

Can't figure out how to edit a P.M. once it has been sent. It was an option with the previous version.

Still can't see threads I've PARTICIPATED in on desktop. This option is present and working on Taptalk.

Just thought I should mention that that Image Uploading issue I experienced a few weeks back has returned, and I'm once again unable to upload images from my PC for HTF Posts! All I get is the "Image URL:" box with the field space for entering an image's online address, and the "Insert" and "Cancel" options.

My viewing Platform is an Acer PC Laptop with the latest Windows 10 update, on the Google Chrome Browser, if that helps.

CHEERS! :)

I really like the way you've got the tags (3D, etc.) working, with the "filtering" function at the top of the forum.

Just for the heck of it, I quickly browsed through all the 3D pages. There are 449 threads, which pleasantly surprised me, and this is activity that will continue to grow. So then I was left wondering why the decision not to just keep it as its own sub-forum.

It also occurred to me (only half seriously) that taking the tag functionality to its extreme, there would theoretically have to be only one humongous forum. with every thread tagged and able to be filtered on. That's silly, of course. But it still brings up the question of where the lines get drawn. Just curious, mostly.

I do look forward to having the missing buttons such as RAH's available as well.

When I hit the quote button, it lights up, but nothing happens. I'm running Windows Vista Firefox.

Alan:

This might sound odd. But hit "Reply" if you want to quote someone in a response.

The "quote" button is actually "+quote". If you click on an edit box now--in any thread on the forum, you'll see a box below it that says "Insert Quotes" because you have copied a quote to your clipboard. This is used for multiple quotes.

If you hae no use for that quote anymore...you can hit "cancel" or "delete" and it will go away.

I think we just goofed on permissions. I'm looking right now.

Would be nice to have the button -- you can get there from the drop down menus under reviews at the top of the page, but I always forget to use that set of menus
@David Norman & @Charles Smith the prefix sorting should be fixed now. Please let me know.

Edit: I've also fixed the font size of prefixes, so they aren't so huge. Hopefully that is an improvement.

I'm seeing 7 filters in the top line so that sounds like the correct number. The size of the tags is also toned so an even the colors aren't as jarring as they were (maybe
since there's less of it?)
