I never know what I'm going to watch so I can't predict my weekend's viewing.

This past weekend I saw some great films on excellent discs. On Friday I watched The Americanisation Of Emily and then Tension. On Saturday, Ride The Pink Horse - that Criterion Blu-ray is superb - followed by Kansas City Confidential on the MGM DVD. (I will not be buying that questionable Blu-ray disc: MGM's DVD is more than good enough) On Sunday, I watched The Great Race, another brilliant Blu-ray disc.

I have not been watching much of anything the past two weeks since having an inner ear infection but hopefully I will have this licked and be back to watching movies by the end of the week.

I might rent The Martian via VOD from Direct TV

We had snow and sleet overnight, so I'll be housebound all weekend. I have a stack of review material (X Files, Snow White, Mercy Street, the Twilight Time releases when they arrive) and some TV from this past week I haven't gotten to yet (Agent Carter, Elementary),. so I'll be plenty busy.

I bought a couple of silent movies the other day and already started with Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari.
The next days and over the weekend (and probably the following week) there will be a lot of silents in my program (old and new in my collection, but all yet to be watched), as there is:
The Mark of Zorro / Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler 1+2 / Robin Hood / Safety Last / Why Worry? / Die Nibelungen 1+2 / The Thief Of Bagdad / Ben-Hur / Don Q Son of Zorro / The Freshman / Black Pirate / Spione / Frau Im Mond / Diary of a Lost Girl /
and finally: City Lights

I have some prime movies to review this weekend, but in the down time between those, I have some TV from this past week to catch up with. I also have that 2008 X Files movie that I'd like to see.
