I ordered mine the same day that I posted the link to The Digital Bits's story. Looking back in this thread that was January 14 so all in all, it took just over three weeks for me to get them. Based on previous replacement deals, it seems like there's no real rhyme or reason to delivery though.

And I ordered mine the day you posted! I agree, no rhyme or reason. But if mine come in March as my email said, even if they came in the last week of March - I'm only on the second disc of Season 2 right now, so they'll be here before I'm ready for them. If there had to be a glitch and a delay to fix it, I'm glad it's one of the later seasons instead of the first one. If S1 had been the defective one, I probably would have held off on starting the whole thing.

Today seems quite quick for the UK. Wasn't expecting anyone in the UK to get any until March.
I just started season 3 today so plenty of time yet

I picked up a few seasons at BJ's last weekend ($13 each). They had Season 8, but I passed on it. Anyone know if there will be a way to tell the corrected version from the initial batch?

I also picked up every season on blu ray except for Season 8. I am assuming that the corrected version will also be available in March. I noticed some places are no longer selling season 8 anymore.

If you've spent the last few years swearing about missing the Limited Edition 4 cd set of music for The X Files you'll be pleased to hear that today La La Land have reissued Volume 1. Only 2000 units and no slipcase but at less than 10% of the price some jokers were asking for the original edition you might want to go for this one as soon as you can

I was notified of a shipment from Fox Connect. I'm assuming it's the replacement Season 8. I was told things would ship in March as well, but maybe they are ahead of schedule.

Just got a notification as well.

...and also that La-La Land release was too good to pass up (considering the slipcase version goes for SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS these days).

Received notification yesterday that my season 8 replacement discs were being shipped - with a UPS tracking #. Since I am only a short way into Season 4, they will arrive in plenty of time - barring an abuction.

I got my tracking number - bizarrely, Fox has sent it to my previous address. I say bizarre because although I had indeed ordered from FoxConnect from my old address once in 2013, the address on my account had been updated when I moved in 2014, and I ordered from my new address when I got the set in the first place, and provided my new address in the emails. It's my mother's house, so I can just ask her to hold on to it until I see her next time, but what a bizarre snafu.

Just a little site note regarding what we think and say sometimes both in the forum, as well as other things in life, as being 100%: Regarding S8 (and many other things), people seem to write authoritatively about them. I know I've had several "authoritative" answers to my questions on this and other forums, but I think the truth is, we just like to feel authoritative. Some recent posts I've become confused on here (don't worry, I'm indeed grateful for all the efforts everyone posts to my questions). So I can't say any of this with 100% surety, but 1) as far as X-Files S8 goes, Fox is saying that not every single physical object was affected by the problems with it from every single country; 2) regarding VAT being taken off Amazon.de, uk, etc. items, I have found personally after ordering hundreds of overseas Amazon items that Germany universally subtracts VAT from the items I buy since it knows my address is in the USA. Other sites (Italy, France, UK) do NOT universally take the VAT off. Sometimes, yes, it's true, but I just spent some time looking through my past purchases for the last few years and have found this to be absolutely true, as well. Sometimes we don't know as much as we think. And I've found it's best to use qualifiers like "probably", "most of the time", "usually", etc. if we are not completely sure of ourselves. Thank you all, but let's perhaps be more precise in saying what we think we know :). Just a suggestion to help us from getting confused.
