My hope is that once the studios each have their own service, they will fully exploit their back catalog of film and tv programs, making a lot of content previously unavailable accessible. I realize this is highly unlikely.
The Laurel & Hardy cartoon series had some single disc releases in the UK with a handful of episodes and in France the complete series was released. The releases were not from Warner. It is my understanding that the rights to that series are with Larry Harmon's estate.
I thought they only released a best of type set with some Hawkman and Green Lantern, etc... But not all of them. I hope this is an animated Marvel family set however.

I wonder how many episodes they could cram into a single bluray? I actually like the idea of dvd video quality on bluray for multiple discs worth of content on a single disc.
I think the one great benefit of bluray could have for a series like this is not the video quality but rather the amount of episodes you can fit on a disk.
