There is so much out there now of vintage television, I can't begin to keep up with it. I don't think we are near the end of the b/w era for television yet.
There are LOTS of collectors out there.
If I weren't so broke, I'd be buying them all up.
I have a wish list which looks like a mile long.
Owning something tangible is far better than having a download or renting Netflix. The same is true with hard copy books; the e-reader experience is totally different, and you don't own the "books" you download.
I love my DVDs, and I love to collect.
Till Death Do Us Part isn't one bit funny but repulsive as hell. I don't like it at all.
The character who irritates me to no end is Dennis the Menace. I wish somebody would remove his vocal chords.
I disagree. FKB holds up very well. There were issues like homelessness that weren't mentioned much during the fifties. The show was not at all preachy, and in fact the title is intended as irony.
Ozzie and Harriet is very underrated. I consider it one of the funniest shows ever made.
Just got Season 4 of Route 66, so that completes that series.
It has gotten to the point that so many titles of classic series have been released in the past couple of years on DVD, I can't keep up with it.
I don't think Netflix or downloads are going to replace the desire to collect classic...
