We actually do "running changes/upgrades" on the drivers and amps on a fairly regular basis. Both the 15 inch and 18 inch have been updated a multiple times since they were introduced. The update can be for performance purposes, longevity purposes, assembly consistency, or even aesthetic...
I must have watched that 100x(at least). Such a good flick. The first time I watched it was with a freind of mine who played bass for a (sort of) bigger rock band. They had videos on MTV if that means anything lol. Anyway. He was saying how much of it was actually JUST LIKE touring. I...
Meh, if it's still doing it for you, I wouldn't worry about upgrading. I found a link to some measurements on the v2 servo15. You can see the highpass(22hz?) and how it affects the FR <25hz. https://hometheaterhifi.com/volume_12_3/paradigm-servo-15-subwoofer-7-2005-part-1.html

Those are almost 25 year old tech..:) But Tom Nosuaine considered them a "reference" product in their day which is high praise. Without getting into every nuance a subs's performance can be separated three ways. Clean otuput. Frequency response, overall sound quality. A modern high quality...
Hsu is very good. All of their subwoofers will offer excellent sound quality and value. Once you have it optimized I would expect it to sound excellent with both movies and music.

Back in the olden days, ported subs often earned their reputation as "good for movies, bad for music". To be honest, even today there's plenty of examples that do the same( the majority of ported subs perhaps). And trust me, some of my old designs would get caught in this net as well.

That is always great to read..:)
Whenever someone asks "What should I play first" when they are waiting on their order to arrive my response is "grab your favorite concert discs" Zep, Rush, Blue Man, Cypress Hill, anything that floats your boat".
I don't understand some of the posts I...
Very much so, yes. I admit I didn't expect much but the results were very good. I tried to find my old before - after measurements but they aren't on this PC. A very good and affordable(to most) auto solution...I don't know of anything better. I grabbed one of the newer X4 processors recently...
That reminds me of how I felt when I was asked to evaluate the Anti Mode stuff. After measuring YPAO, Mcacc, the new accu-eq, and a few others...let's just say I've learned not to expect much under(under 200hz anyway). Color me pleasantly surprised. I was emailing them a few hours later...
If you know anyone who has one and uses REW they should be able to do a transfer function easy enough to show you if there's really anything proprietary about the mcacc mic. I'd bet it looks a lot like the old rat shack meter graph..:)

Either way. Shouldn't make any difference if the sub has a true time delay. The advantage for doing it as the receiver is you can sit in the key seating and experiment with all of the delays versus getting up and turning a knob back and forth..:)
Here is the electrical of the room size. The...
The smaller the room the more severe the modes will be. Square makes them even more pronounced. You're going to have issues here regardless of placement.
Time delay is more to help with the main speaker + sub integration.
Be sure to spin the "room size" control all the way to SMALL too...
