    Is Bone Tomahawk any good?

It's free on Amazon Prime, Robert. I'm not a huge fan of the film, but I think it's worth watching absolutely. It's a well-made film for a first time director and has a very "authentic old west" feel to it. And, Richard Jenkins is worth the watch alone, IMO. If you're a fan of westerns or...

    Jessica Jones (Netflix)

I'm 10 episodes in. I'll finish today or tomorrow. This show is spectacular stuff. Way better than Daredevil in nearly every aspect. Kilgrave is the nastiest villain in the MCU, bar none. The one flaw I would call out is that it seems to not quite have enough material for 13 episodes...

    Walking Dead Season 6

Of course it was lame and disrespectful of the audience. This is TWD, right? BTW...I now think Glenn is likely UN-killable, so I'm going to call it now:

    Fargo - Season 2 (FX)

This was great stuff! The story is exceptional as is the cast, but MAN they are nailing the feel and style of '70's filmmaking. I'm loving it.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Discovery - Official Thread

Clearly fan exploitation...but, I'm afraid this won't be the last we'll see of this strategy. The age of streaming services has arrived.

    Walking Dead Season 6

I was thinking JSS meant "just survive stupid" the whole time. I guess their mantra was better... :P Best episode of the series? Yeah, I think it is. Great action, SUPER jump surprise with that machete attack...LOVE the crazy ass Wolves. Man, they are nuts. Super Carol action, great work...

    Fargo - Season 2 (FX)

This is a beautiful show that takes its time and makes it well worth it. That UFO scene was utterly bizarre, but so perfect to precede the car hit! I jumped! What an amazing cast here. Can't wait to see how much more twisted the story gets.

    Walking Dead Season 6

Burning them should at least have been addressed re: yeah, that will attract too much attention. But, I also think they could have sent out some scouts west to see if they were sending the horde toward anyone living. I'm guessing the Wolves live there! The horn isn't so much a fuck you to...

    Fear the Walking Dead

I don't know what was more lame: having the horde of undead following Daniel (what...did he release them from the arena, magically untouched and in no danger? is he the pied piper of the undead...wtf?), or the tortured soldier showing up in the parking garage to exact his revenge! Yeah...

    Fear the Walking Dead

And, what's it going to be a season from now? Are they still going to be waiting for the shit to hit the fan? If they are, I predict the show will fail. If they aren't....well, you're back to early TWD again. I think a show about a different group, with different origins/motives, in a...

    Fear the Walking Dead

I just saw a Danish film called "What We Become" - a pretty basic zombie apocalypse movie from a first-time director that shifts the attention to the families affected as the outbreak happens, uses their POV, and shows how they are changed by it. In 90 minutes or so, it more effectively...

    Fear the Walking Dead

The strategy in L.A. would HAVE to be different. Much more spread out and around 4x the population of Atlanta. Which is why I just don't think apocalypse in L.A. would look so quiet and peaceful. Even if you only had 2+ million people turn to zombies in the first week (less than 10%), that...

    Fear the Walking Dead

Considering the likelihood that most viewers of Fear are viewers of TWD, it's hard to ask us to empathize with characters against the 'evil military' who are culling the heard by removing and, presumably, killing the weak. After all, we know what's coming and there is no room for the weak...

    Fear the Walking Dead

That sound effect annoyed me too, Mark. This episode shows promise for the season. I still despise most of the characters...only really liking Madison, and the new addition of Daniel Salazar. But, I sort of get the spread of different personalities so that we can see the different reactions...

    Fear the Walking Dead

No. But, it IS the same restaurant from HEAT (not the DeNiro/Pacino scene...that's Kate Mantilini's in BH) - formerly Johnie's Broiler, now a Bob's Big Boy Broiler. Pulp Fiction was shot at the Hawthorne Grill...which is now gone.
