Howzabout $30 each for Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii and The Wall?
Much like my other physical media hobby, record collecting, it is tiring / alarming to see the prices creep up again and again. Take 'er easy, there, industry.
I seem to recall Bob saying they would eventually get around to putting those pages back up. We can count ourselves lucky that they are too busy to do so.
Hi Bob,
On a very tenuous tangential connection 😬, do you have any details on the 3-D filming of Willie Nelson’s 4th of July picnic? It has fascinated me since seeing it on the Silver era posters section of the Archive’s website. How much was filmed in 3-D? Why no release in 3-D? Was it...
Bob, I have an old Starlog book that discusses the United Artists 65mm camera rig called StereoSpace. Any idea if it ever got beyond the test phase? Thanks.
Based on my research (quick google search), the earliest movie screens were made from fabric coated in silver dust. This helped with the low brightness lamps of the era, and is where we get the term Silver Screen as a general reference to movies. If my sources are correct 😬
My first 3-D Restoration :D Youtube channel FT Depot uploaded an open scan of this, so I tried to make a version of it that your Over/Under on your TV could show. Turned out okay.
Yes, my most visited feature was the list of golden and silver age pictures with movie posters. Would love and updated version. Glad to have it back and looking forward to all of the upcoming releases.
