    Oppenheimer (2023)

No they didn't bother me either. However, I found them unnecessary as his womanizing was plainly evident.

    Oppenheimer (2023)

Finally caught this. It was Ok. Fascinating to see so many historical scientific figures in one movie. Nolan's insistence on playing with time in his movies detracted from the actual events in this IMO. Also, the totally gratuitous sex scenes felt totally discordant with the rest of the movie...

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

While the last episode was pretty wonky story and logic wise, really enjoyed the sendoff the crew received in this episode. The second most gratifying aspect is how Terry Matalas left doors open to give Kirk and Q better endings. "There are always possibilities." Anton Chekov. Or was it...

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

Another excellent episode. Great and touching conclusion to a 30 year story arc. And another episode with the best moment(s) based on acting without dialogue.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

Frakes directed the hell out of episode 4. Great episode that passed the dramatic baton from one character to another without missing a beat. Another great unspoken beat moment between Picard and Jack near the end of the episode.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

The plot thickens. Or liquifies... And Damn! Those are some tense moments between Riker and Picard. Great stuff by both actors.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

Great second episode. Worf's entrance was bad ass. The best scene for me was Beverly's entrance on the bridge and the wordless exchange between her and Picard. Beautifully done.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

I took it as more of a homage to all things Trek since the opening titles also aped ST2 & 3.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

Loved it! The Titan-A looks fantastic. And damn - that score. So many great cues from so many Star Trek moments.

    Knock at the Cabin (2023)

Interested in seeing this. Read the book this is based on by Paul Tremblay - The Cabin At The End Of The World - and it's intense. Tremblay is hit and miss for me. His other book - A Headful of Ghosts is fantastic.

Netflix Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)

A good movie but the first one was way better.

    Peacock Quantum Leap (2022)

Looks like fun. Am hoping for a Scott Bakula cameo but based on the trailer that doesn't seem likely unless the show entertains some sort of multiverse concept.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022) - Season 1 (Amazon Prime)

I don't get the backlash against casting choices based on ethnicity. The book was written in one time period, the show is being done in another one. Gorgeous show and after a slow start, things picked up in the third episode.

Paramount+ Star Trek: Picard - Season Three

I'm in the camp that didn't like the first two seasons of Picard but am hopeful for this final season. Even if you are not a fan of Robert Meyer Burnett, this interview with Douglas Drexler and Terry Matalas gives me hope and is very informative about Star Trek in general: PS - note the...
