  • Hi, Bruce. Now that TT's BABY THE RAIN MUST FALL is out on Blu, without (as far as I can tell) an isolated score, I have to ask -- would Kritzerland have access to an expanded/complete score of Bernstein's music, since the album currently available (same content as the original AVA LP) only contains songs and the jazzier tracks, but not the lovely orchestral underscore. Sure would love to have that!

I presume it's Columbia and try as I might and I've tried for eight years now, I cannot get the moron who runs the music for that company to even entertain the idea of licensing to us. It's really baffling to me, but some of these guys are on real power trips and live in their own peculiar worlds. With Nick gone, I'm not sure there will be many more isolated tracks on anything he hasn't been alive for.

I am so looking forward to LOLITA MY LOVE. I never thought that it would be released, Thank you Bruce!
Bruce, do you have the Captain Horatio Hornblower CD on your label? If so, I expect you might see an uptick in interest due to a letter published in the L.A. Times Calendar section yesterday, from director Nicholas Meyer.

Meyer essentially accused Gene Rodenberry of "borrowing" Courage's work on Hornblower for Star Trek.

We don't have that one. I have the CD of it somewhere, though. I love Robert Farnon.
