Okay, the absence of the Doors songs - while no surprise - hurts a bit. Also, a surprising amount of "TV Theme Music" appears to be missing. (I remember the use of the Jeopardy Think Music was absolutely hilarious). All in all - my preorder is already in and it stays in.

Anybody else received this with a Candian, bilingual slipcover from Amazon.com directly? (The keepcase underneath is 100% English).

This is just one of many Warner distributed preorders that had their preorder removed from the site on or around May 16th (e.g. several versions of 300: Rise of an Empire, LEGO Movie, Time Machine, Vanilla Sky, Looney Tunes Vol. 3 etc etc). No idea what's going on.

Seems to me they're trying something else with their 3d releases after the "Great and Poweful Oz" debacle (no 2d version and no extras in the 3d set). The term "customer-centric" doesn't really seem to be in Disney's vocabulary.

Charles, I have the same player and my initial experience was identical, i.e. the 3D version was oddly flat (you could take off your glasses and notice that there were no visible shifting frames etc., a surefire sign that something is wrong). I then ejected the disc, restarted the player and...

The cover says "Region A" but it played fine on my Region B PS3. :) When I saw this film was being released I expected to receive an "okay" disc at the very best and be fine with it... but it looks waaaay better than I ever would have expected, absolutely stunning. The only problem I noticed...

Curious to see what happens with the later seasons. The problem there was that when Sony replaced the "Love and Marriage" song they also redid all the end titles to remove the credit for the song. Not so much a problem in earlier seasons where you would just see a still of the opening sequence...

DavidJ, I haven't viewed this disc myself yet but from your description it appears to have the same issues as Brave, Finding Nemo and a few other recent Disney titles containing a Dolby True HD track. I find it very disconcerting that they continue to crank these out despite the issues on...

Given the surprisingly low SRP I have my doubts it'll be real 3D, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
