    A Few Words About A few words about…™ Beetlejuice - in 4k UHD Blu-ray

Blu-ray is the old version - only has DD 5.1. And boy, does it pale in comparison with the UHD. Not even close.

UHD Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Wants Your Votes

strange they included panic room since it got no recognition on blu-ray. would be very welcome though. my additional title would be "joan of arc" (luc besson) - columbia distributed the american version, so i guess that means sony ? the blu-ray was terrible; always thought it might look/sound...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Moulin Rouge (2001) -- in Blu-ray

never tire of watching this film. just watched the blu-ray on an OLED. this has taken it to the next level. WOW! if ever there was a film and a technology that were meant for each other. i can only imagine what 4K + HDR could bring - although 1080p feels more than adequate if i'm honest.

A PEEK AT HEAVEN AND EARTH

yes, i have the choice to not buy this film. i do understand that. and trust me, i won't be. although we all have to live with the reality that we have to pay this kind of money for a 10+ year old transfer for some of these films, i don't think it's unreasonable to expect a technical competent...

A PEEK AT HEAVEN AND EARTH

it's clear from these screenshots: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Heaven-and-Earth-Blu-ray/43396/#Screenshots that it's a problem with the disc. no debate. bad work from warner/TT. whoever is to blame, i really couldn't care. it's a flawed product. and for the price TT are asking ... ouch ...

Far and Away Blu-ray vs. DVD screen caps

keeping your VHS ???? the blu-ray may not be a header turner, but it's going to beat Very Horrible Smudging by quite a wide margin. personally, i think it's nothing short of a miracle that the blu-ray ended up looking slightly below average. Universal have mercilessly pummeled my...

Would someone please release BELOVED on blu.

and a VERY overrated DVD, judging by the reviews on DVD Basen. i have the DVD and it's abysmal. and that's the most positive thing i can say about it. must be sourced from laserdisc. maybe one that's been dropped on the floor a few times. i would certainly support a release of this film...

USHE Announcement: Fried Green Tomatoes (Blu-ray)

thanks for your opinion Ron. sounds just as i suspected. what a shame. it's very depressing to think it's going to take them another 10/15 years to get it right. so i guess this to be the 15 year old master they created back in the DVD era. the same master that's been broadcast on HDTV for...

USHE Announcement: Fried Green Tomatoes (Blu-ray)

it's been what, 15 years since the last release on home video ? and here we are, with the new release, and ... it isn't any good. brilliant ! damn you universal and your mediocre releases ! i have a 1080 rip which originates from an HDTV broadcast, and frankly it doesn't look any different...
