We should lobby TCM and ask for a Saturday afternoon double feature of Sword and Sandal films and follow up with a double feature of Horror/SciFi films. It would be a phenomenal Saturdays on TCM !

This was a great show, that missed the mark in it's film version. Is Mitzi Gaynor, bad not really, is Rossano Brazzi bad not really, John Kerr is stiff as all get out and the rest of the cast is adequate. However, it should have been a stellar film. The lousy filters give it a bizarre feel...

Didn't realize that Robert thanks for the clarification. As well as I remember Jennie had a bigger role in the book. The part was much smaller in the film.......I remember Martha Hyer in "Ice Palace" loved her.

Always thought Martha Hyer and Carroll Baker lwere to similar. A different actress in the Jennie Denton role.... Maybe Joan Collins, Suzanne Pleshette, or Ann Margret.

Unfortunate that she never won an OSCAR,or nominated, so many incredible performances from "Calamity Jane", "TMWKTM", "Pillow Talk" (nominated), "Midnight Lace", "Move Over Darling", "Julie", "Love Me Or Leave Me", "Storm Warning" "Jumbo" to name a few.
