Re: Halo 3
It'll likely launch fall '07, but your guess is as good as mine.

Re: Halo 3
I've had no problem. Played online last night with a buddy, no lag, excellent performance. The overall control and gameplay is much improved. Will play some more tonight.

Re: Halo 3
I don't have an Xbox360, and probably will not get the chance to play the game all the way through. I have played the first two to completion. I've read several reviews that just trash the last level and say it is absolutely awful. Can someone describe to me (IN SPOILERS!!) what they are referring to, and what is so bad about it?

Re: Halo 3
Jeff- what reviews are you referring to? Every review I've read has been glowing.
BTW, if anyone really enjoys online multiplayer, but sucks as bad as I do, look me up: dbert721. I'm a mid-40's casual gaming dad who gets smoked by all the experienced assassins out there, and I'm looking for some folks more at my level.

Re: Halo 3
From the Yahoo! review ...
Quote:
|
The game's end sequence, to put it mildly, is an eight-car pileup. Fans of the series will recognize it as a poorly veiled swipe of a sequence in the original Halo, a challenge highlighted by a series of goofy circumstances and improbable level design meant to create an explosive end. The end result, however, is fairly absurd, as the whole shebang reeks of game developers wracking their brains to come up with the cleverest, most exciting finish, and shattering the fourth wall in the process.
|
From the IGN review:
Quote:
Most of the nine levels are hunky-dory, but the penultimate chapter is so bad, just thinking about it puts a rotten taste in my mouth. It's the kind of level where, if playing through Halo 3 again, I might just stop once I reached it and not bother finishing the skirmish, much less the fight.

Re: Halo 3
Hmmm... that's the first I've heard of these gripes. I'm still stuck on the beginning levels, so I hope someday I'll get there to decide for myself!

Re: Halo 3
Woo Hoo, my friend and I finished it last night on Heroic. On to Legendary!!! If you have someone to play the campaign with you it really helps as you can coordinate your efforts better than the AI companions. We also found all the achievment point skulls. While the last level is lackluster, it is not horrible. If anyone wants to campaign look me up Drunkenmaster85
