Xbox 360 Aliasing on Toshiba 46HX83?

A friend brought over his Xbox 360 and we were surprised by the amount of aliasing seen on my TV. I have a Toshiba 46HX83. We confirmed the system was running at 1080i. We tried other resolutions as well, but the aliasing just got worse.

Any ideas? We've both seen PGR3 on other TVs (including his 51" Hitachi) and there was no aliasing to be seen.

What do you mean by aliasing? Please, educate me.

I have a Toshiba TW40X18 HDTV, and even though the xbox 360 does not play well at 1080i (it shows a band of waving lines at the top of the screen--is this aliasing?), but at 480p the games play just fine.

This game does have Aliasing. There was a thread over at AVSforum and I've replicated the issue (albeit very slight) on my 50XBR1.

If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.
