HELP! Playstation 2 internet hookup question

I'm finally hooking up my Playstation 2 to my Cox Cable internet.

The game I'm trying to play is Burnout Revenge.

I got Network Adaptor hooked up and the info entered for the start up disc.
and it's hooked up through Ethernet connection

Everything starts up fine untill I want to play with people and the message says, "PORT 3658 IS NOT OPEN ON YOUR FIREWALL"

I have no idea how to go in to my router and open this up.

Would anybody be nice enough to point me in the right direction and help me out so I can play online

I'm going to be here for a good while(at least 4-5 hours)

Don't know your gear, but go into your router setup and look for port forwarding configuration. I use Linksys router but have never really needed to forward any ports for PS2 or PC games...

yeah, I've been toying around in that section, but still cant figure out how to open port 3658
