Actually, just about all info about the system is leaning towards a fourth quarter 2005 launch. E3 will reveal all.

There's some rumors floating around that Microsoft has halted production of Xbox systems in preparation for Xbox2 which is supposed to launch later this year.

I'd agree with the speculation it will be out around x-mas. Ballmer et all have certainly seemed to hint at it. Sony is on track for Q3-Q4 06 it seems, and MS has said they would be out first this time.

My guess? Expect a mid-november Xbox2 launch, and then expect Halo 3 the same street date as the PS3.
