Somebody mentioned this game being like crack, well I am on a business trip for several days and am in serious withdrawal pain! And to top that off when I get back we are going on vacation for a week. Oh the pain...

Almost pefect tonight, I think my 3-4 man teams won a total of one time. Glad to be the newbie screwing it up for everyone (though by the end I didn't feel as lost as the results indicated). I need a keyboard and mouse in the worst way.

Also you have to watch out for me if we flip flop colors too often, esp. on flag games. Is there a Hallmark Card for "Sorry I shot you in the face"?

I thought I was following some good gun advice but no matter how much ammo I pour into someone I still die first. Even when I have 2 SMGs and they have 1.

Oh the first day of multiplayer blues. Happens with every game, generally coupled with things like "NO WAY! THAT'S TOTAL BULLS***! WHAT A SCREWJOB!" and the ever popular "CLEARLY THIS GAME/THESE GUYS ARE CHEATING!"

Good games last night fellas. I have to say that I enjoy playing in the custom games a lot more than playing in the clan matches. There are too many annoying people out there, at least when playing the custom games the trash talking is friendly

Now they show you how detergents take out bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you\'ve got a T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn\'t your biggest problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash.

Those custom games last night were just evidence of how much we suck as a team. That capture the flag match lasted entirely too long. It was fun though, a lot of laughing at ourselves about how terrible we are.

I'm more interested in the custom games myself, the clan matches are too much pressure, too concerned about winning and losing versus just having a good time playing.

I had to bail (again...my apologies), but I prefer the custom games as well. Simply because knowing everybody makes it more fun, and there is less pressure. I still think we should work in some Clan Matches, but I like keeping my Halo 2 experience stress-free. I don't even like worrying about my own rating

Seth,
The learning curve is pretty steep. It'll feel much better in just a day or two.

And it is like crack. It takes me a while to doze off at night. Thinking about the games...

Anywho, to check the maps out, just play split-screen by yourself, give yourself at least five minutes, and walk around. It does help. I found out I had Foundation, and didn't know it. That's a meat-grinder map, btw.

Last night, I probably went overboard on teamwork...I wouldn't shut my damn mouth. Sorry. Just excited to be playing I don't mind sucking as a team! Being good is all about playing the map enough, and knowing where the key weapons are. I didn't even get to kill Carlo last night

Take care,
Chuck

I dropped in for a quick minute last night on what seemed like a new map (circular, arena-like?), I really wish I could have stayed.

Getting on the machine gun in the sword-only game was so beautiful .

Seth, I am probably one of the very worse players in this clan and STILL have fun

Alot of the opponents we were playing in clan matches were wreaking lots of havok by circle strafing like crazy. I may have to increase the sensitivity controls some now to combat this.

Oh, I'm a circler myself I upped the senstivity to 5 yesterday, but it's taking some getting used to. I imagine it's like skiing. There becomes a point you are going faster than you control/respond Turn sensitivity is the same thing. At some point, it'll be faster than you can react/recognize and a negative effect. The trick is finding the setting right below that and getting good, I suppose.

Holadem, that sounds like Foundation (except it has dead-end rooms on the upper level) or Midship, which would be another meat-grinder if enough people show up.

Cool,
Chuck

Or my Favorite..."Frickin Hackers!!!!"

I just don't want to admit I suck. As for emptying 2 SMGs into a guy and still getting killed. I found that it started getting better for me when I would aim at the head while alternating triggers. Also beceause the SMGs wander up while your shooting gently pull down while your firing and it stays on their head and then their dead (hey a poem).

Or better yet take LeMarcus advice and use Plasma rifle/SMG combo alternating quickly between the two. (starting with the plasma rifle) I found it works much better against 2 SMGs.

It was Foundation then, definitely not midship.

I increased my look sensitivity to 10. It's crazy, trying to get used to it, but I htink it will pay off in the long run. I can turn on a dime now, still practicing the not-overshooting part.

Foundation was crazy, we were what, 8 on 8? It was like Guadalcanal!

10? You are a brave man...I salute you

I have some MP conundrums to let the smarter people solve, plus some observations. These are all based in the simple "how to kill/deal with" realm.

1) The best method to lob grenades? I usually use them check out what's around...like throwing dynamite in a river That said, I figured out yesterday that plasma grenades are much more effective at killing people. No bouncing, and they stick if you nail it right. Any ideas on better utilizing grenades?

2) When the "one guy" gets the sword (the one who goes right to it, and then starts knocking everyone off), how do you deal with him? In short, what methods work for dealing with Sword users? In close, of course. they can close frightening distance with the insta-killer lunge. I plan on using the plasma grenade, but I'll still be dead.

3) Is melee as effective as it seems? I've only done it with th
