What was his deal anyway, what was he spouting off about? He ran me and my son off in about 20 seconds flat.

Alright, since I managed to "win" the bomb one, by complete accident, I'll spill it.

It's like a reverse CTF. One member of the team tries to plant a bomb in another teams designated area. They walk into the area, stand their for five seconds, and then try and get out (the farging bomb got me every time). The first time we did it last night, the boys covered me. As I blew up, I kept reappearing next to the bomb. The second two times, I just snuck back and planted it.

In short: Reverse CTF. Send a bomber and a few players to protect him. And protect your base (so no one can plant bombs) with the rest.

There you go,
Chuck

I still don't follow? Do you physically take a bomb there (i.e pick it up from somewhere like the flag and carry it there) or do you just stand on the opponents bomb for 5 seconds? Then what?

Also, I asked earlier but I think it got passed over, does everyone use the default controller configuration or do some prefer a different style? If so which and why?

Thanks, Brian

My favourite is team slayer. None of this contrived objective stuff for me - it's all about the killing.

Least favourite: oddball. The only redeeming quality is that it's really a skull.

Martin.

Really sorry to hear that. We should definitely try to keep the game child friendly. Whomever creates a party should definitely boot the offensive kiddies when necessary.

Martin.

You pick up the bomb from your base(like a flag) and go the opponents' base and plant the bomb in the designated area (where they keep their bomb). It takes several seconds to plant the bomb (you can see a meter at the bottom of the screen telling you how much time it takes to plant the bomb).

I was under the impression that the reason we were forming a HTF clan was to escape all the crap that happens on other games, so that we know who we are playing with. If we allow people to invite their friends then I don't see the point of this clan.

Richard is correct. You carry the bomb (which makes you slower and unable to take any offensive actions) to the opponents bomb zone and plant it (taking 5 seconds on default).

I agree with Martin. I prefer KILLING to objectives, but they each have their charm Haven't played Oddball yet.

Dave, I believe the clan exists so we can play each other Some stragglers may join. But it was nice talking to friends I've never met last night. Real nice. Besides, fragging someone you know is infinitely more pleasurable than killing someone you cannot taunt later

Take care,
Chuck

Dave,

A few of the friends that I invited helped us win several clan games!

It's highly unlikely that any of us would invite any obnoxious troll troublemakers into the clan, so what's the problem?

I don't have a problem w/ people inviting their friends...as long as they can vouch for them. Yeah that Comiccozzy kid was just a PITA. But I've been in matches with HTF clan members friends where they were cool too.

I think having an HTF clan membership is a good base, but if they have friends they can vouch for and want to bring in, I'm good with that too. Comiccozzy was the first one that really annoyed me in all of the Halo2 matches I've played with the Clan.

I use the default settings.

Don't forget that you can melee with the bomb/flag/oddball and it is a quite powerful melee. In all the games I have played it is two hits to kill, which reminds me, I had a double kill with the bomb yesterday.

Now they show you how detergents take out bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you\'ve got a T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn\'t your biggest problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! Why am I such a moron that I didn't know this? I thought when you have the bomb you're just a sitting duck (okay, a running and hiding duck)! I could have won a couple of more bomb matches had I known this!

Damn, now I want to jump back online and play some bomb matches...unfortunately this little thing I like to call A Job is keeping me from doing that.
