Yeah me Sirrfurr and RadialArm were taking it to some guys. I have a 9 ranking so far trying to get in those double digits. My advice to you guys to improve your stats is to:

-have a plasma rifle in your left hand, and a submachine gun in your right.
-Never pick up the needler, your just askin to die. It's better to have a submachine gun and throw grenades until you can find another submachine gun or preferably plasma rifle.

Halo is basically a game of paper, rock, scissors.

Up-close:
Shotgun beats anything (except plama sword)
Submachine gun beats rifle

Distance:
Sniper beats mostly anything
Rifle beats submachine guns

Short distance:
Rocket launcher beats anything (if in hands of skilled user)

(lh) plasma rifle (rh) submachine guns beats dual submachine guns.

(lh) submachine gun (rh) pistol beats dual submachine guns

(lh) submachine gun (rh) pistol tie (lh) plasma rifle (rh) submachine guns

If you stick to these basic rules, you'll do well; I'm always in the top 3 in the game, mainly because I'm good at paper rock scissors. You know your good when people start announcing your name like "Oh shit Lex is coming, Lex is coming", or when they say "Hey I killed Lex, I killed Lex". I love my fame.

Lex Luther out.

Hey Mike, SirrFurr challenged me to a head to head, because he taught he found a new unstoppable technique of plasma gun in the left and submachine gun in the right....well...I told him thats a bad idea because if you miss with that first charged up plasma blast your toast. And it gives anyway your position because your carring around that big ass green light. Needless to say I beat his ass 25 to 8. When it was 14 to 4 I got bored and started to do silly stuff, like try to stick him with a plasma grenade.

LaMarcus,
Thanks for the advice What about the sword...I usually did prety well with the Sword.

Anyone,
Can I add friends online (at Bungie.net or xbox.com)? Or do I have to do it from the XBOX.

Yesterday was my first day on Live, and I basically tagged behind a few HTFers into some games (thanks for your easy to decipher Gamertag, QG Kim) or just played random Optimatches. I had a great time, though. I look forward to some custom HTF Clan games.

Thanks for the help getting on, folks.

Take care,
Chuck

Nice breakdown of the game, Lex.

One combo that you didn't mention that I like, is duel plasma rifles. The reason is because they seem to be a bit more accurate for short / mid range than the machine guns. As well as being quite powerful up close and never have to reload, just make sure that you get used to how long it takes to overheat, and you will be good to go. BTW, I had a killtrocity one game with that combo.

Best weapon in the game is TEAMWORK!!!!

I can't stress that enough.

Now they show you how detergents take out bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you\'ve got a T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn\'t your biggest problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash.

How does the invite work? I've signed into Live and played my campaign waiting for an invite, but have yet to recieve one, am I doing something wrong? Should I just kill time in the matchmaking instead or something? or should I send a new email with my Live name? perhaps I didnt make the list yet. in case anyone wants to know my Gamertag is B1oodthirst (the L is a #1)

Hey,

Finally got to play a few games with some HTF2'ers on Sunday. Saturday was spent mostly alone with the optimatch, so of course, Sunday was way more fun. Played a few big long battles. That's where it's at!

I noted a few HTF2'ers online, but everybody seemed to be generally doing their own thing. Am I missing something? How can a bunch of us get hooked up quickly and into some team games?

I'm having some problems with the icons for the team matches. Let us presume there's somebody out there who doesn't really know what's going on for some of the games... What would their best strategy to help the team be in that case?

I appreciate some of you better players offering tips. That will help the clan overall.

So another question: what is a working strategy for when you're reloading? Obviously, winning matches means you need to find a way to survive. How do you all do it? I'm thinking that dumping the left weapon and chucking grenades liberally might help occasionally. Having another weapon might help too, but finding three weapons before fighting doesn't happen that often.

Finally, what do you do when somebody starts shooting your back? Unlike Quake 3, I'm not finding enough time to turn around and deal with them. Jumping just makes you a giant target.

Thanks,
Martin.

I had a great time with the HTF2 clan yesterday. I was having more fun with the every man for himself games than I was with the team games just because it seemed that there wasn't enough team strategy. The most fun games for me were the swords games.

Unfortunately, I was having some disconnect problems sending me out of live. Was this just me or was anyone else having disconnect issues with Live?

You can create a party and invite clan members/buddylisters to the party. If we are signed on xbox live, and say playing campaign or optimatch, a little note will pop up during the game we are playing saying so and so sent us a message. Then we can join up to your party.

what is your sensitivity set at? mine is set at 7 or 8, and i have no problem turning around and blasting peeps. And if you feel you are about to die, drop a grenade so that you might kill you enemy after you are dead.

Well, that is tougher. If you are faced with only one opponent, you should be able to kill him without reloading. Other than take a bit of cover while reloading, throwing nades doesn't help much because every time you throw a nade, it interrupts the reload cycle, causing even longer reload time. Finally, reload gun(s) after every battle. It sucks going into a battle with half a clip.
