Component cables


IO was wondering where I might be able to buy a custom made component cable for my gamecube? I need aboput a 20ft cable.

You can't. The GC component cable has some custom chip in it, so there are no 3rd party cables that I know of. I know Monster won't make them because the cost of reverse engineering the chip would make the cable cost twice as much as the Xbox/PS2 cables.

I would suggest some sort of extension cable, I guess.

Sorry, your wrong, Monster does make a componet video cable for Gamecube. I don't know if they just started making it or what, but its available.

I really think you're incorrect. It's not shown on Monster's site, and I've never seen one in a store or anything. Plus the info above came from a friend who works at Monster.

Where did you see one?

you could make them easy enough....

Just buy RG6 copper core cable and RCA crimp ends.....

I made mine - work perfectly....

monstrer said they werent gonna make gamecube component cables cause there wasnt enough demand.

(read it on an official site couple months back)

My apologies, I could have sworn I saw it somewhere online. I see now the only place to get one is thru Nintendo(which I ordered tonight)
