Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

I've been reading the impressions of this game on Penny Arcade, and I'm not quite sure what to think. The GBA connectivity thing is brilliant, and I'm kind of curious to see it in action, but I'm not sure if I'm all that interested in the game itself. Really, it sounds to me a little like Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, which frankly scares the hell out of me (cause that game was really bad). Has anyone tried the import?

Might be worth a rent when it comes out here though.

Personally I can't wait.
The whole hub bub about the need
for 4 gba's is a moot point. Everyone I know
has one and link cables. This sounds like it
is right up my alley.

If it's anything like Secret of Mana (which it sounds like), it would be good. However, unlike the person above, the GBA-only for multiplayer has scratched this off as a much purchase to a no-purchase (at least for a couple of years until it gets down to like $15) It would have been nice for a 4-controller option. Secret of Mana and SD3 worked fine with a pause when you go to menus. I have friends that would play it, but no one with a gameboy.

Matheson- "There are probably some who'll say that by doing this, we are interfering with their culture."

Gideon - "Probably. Screw them."
