Ninja Gaiden Online Component: Any Guesses?

So I think the secret-innovative online component is the following:

Finish a level, and see how your score ranks against others around the world...thus giving you incentive to replay levels and do better. They might also reward you by doing better by giving you greater weapons, powers, etc.

What do you think?

I doubt my guess is correct, but I would love to see a co-op mode. *drool*

I dunno, downloadable levels? Unless they're doing something that's really innovative, I don't see why they won't just say it.

I bet they'd make a couple downloadable levels, maybe these will be the first downloads we have to pay for...but I like the ranking idea mentioned above.

Co-op mode would be cool. But I can't imagine this feature is their online surprise. Games have certainly had co-op modes before, so this feature wouldn't generally be considered an innovative idea, just in its online implementation.

Downloadable content clearly isn't very interesting, but it is certainly welcome. But since they've chosen to keep this a secret, I imagine it has to be something bigger than what we've brought up so far.

They could do something like "downloadable content available at release, but only unlockable if you beat the game" or some sort of online contest.
