I can not wait for this game. Getting all the gold medals in the last one was such a great achievement. It looks like Factor 5 may outdo themselves this time.

Somewhere, two star wars nerds(no offense intended ) are playing Rogue Squadron 3 co-op mode.

Nerd 1-"Red Leader this is Red 2, I'm going in"
Nerd 2-"Copy Red 2"

Dave

Q4 cannot come fast enough. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about taking a speeder through the forest of Endor's moon at movie speed. Crazy!

*Just realized I would not last long on a speeder through the forest of Endor's moon at movie speed. Goosebumps turned into sweat.

I'm always surprised at how often people write "Rouge" instead of "Rogue." It happened with "Rouge Spear" a lot too. Don't get me wrong, I am a terrible speller myself, I just happen to know how to spell this particular word. When ever I see it as "Rouge this-or-that," I can't help wondering if the game doesn't feature some sort of cosmetics option, like a Teen Barbie game or something like that.

You should definitely take a look at this link:
http://zinio.com/delivery?issn=1058...I1&bd=1&r=first

You can download the entire issue of EGM and browse through it with this program called Zinio that you download through that same link.

And best of all, it's absolutely fee, and 100% legal.

There are plenty more great screen shots in there, plus, plenty of info about the game.

Some points that I've gathered about Rogue Squadron 3 include:

-Two completely different storylines. One with Luke, one with Wedge.

-The entire game of RSII is available for co-op play.

-Three gameplay style. Third person shooter. Vehicle driving. Traditional starfighting.

-120 Ties on the screen at once.

-Terrain 16x more detailed.

-Nothing in the old game will be in RSIII.
You will not blow up any death stars or take down ATAT's with tow cables.

-3rd person ground missions on Hoth, Endor, Both Death Stars, over the Sarlacc Pit, and on Yavin.

-Cutscenes are DVD quality clips straight from the old Triligy.

-Tons of bonus missions that are easier to unlock

-Play as Han, Leia, and Chewie.

-When over Hoth in an X-wing, you will be able to fly through the planets atmoshere at any time and see the battle on the ground.

-Force powers for ground missions.

-Bonus missions include escorting Liea under the Hoth base. Suicide bombing the Super Star Destroyer. And manning ATAT's during the Hoth battle

-Complete the same mission in several different ways.

-Lightsaber battles are included.

Character models have been created perfectly. Han Solo looks great. You will be able to play as Luke Skywalker in every varioation from farm-boy Luke to Jedi.

-Control an AT-ST through the forest in Endor, shoot the enemy and command your Ewok troops.

-Just about every scene from the Star Wars classic trilogy, including those famous lightsabre battles.

-Death star bonus level, where after you freeze Leia, you fall into the trash compactor (as the movie goes), and you gotta solve a jumping puzzle. Then when you have escpaed, you go into first person view and use your grappling hook (a la Zelda) and swing across, to "recreate fantasy".

-It won't rehash ANYTHING from RS2. E.g. you won't blow up the Death Star, and you won't tangle AT-AT's with a rope and speeders.

-HOWEVER, every single mission from Rogue Leader (including bonus missions) will be available to play in a multiplayer co-op mode.

-Speederbike missions through forest recreated. You can be on foot and hit the enemy on speederbike with your lightsabre at one point in the game.

-Landspeeder racing on Tatooine.

-Near DVD quality footage from the original Star Wars trilogy to intro/outro scenes.

-There will be a mission on Geonosis from Episode 2. The picture looks beautiful.

-Versus multiplayer mode (dogfights), and "capture the base" mode. This will be for at least two, and possibly four players.

-Kamikaze A-wing attack on a Super Star Destroyer. If you're good enough you can do it without comminiting suicide, or hit the SSD bridge.
